btw If Sonic is allowed to wear all that furry gear, have fursuit coaches, and teabag and annoy the hell out of me, can I wear facepaint, wear goofy looking glasses and have extremely weird looking dressed people be my coaches too? I think that also should be talked about, because that's gotta be very uncomfortable for opposing players.
Next tournament I enter, imma blast Slayer, Death and Morbid Angel at full volume from a custom made Robocop outfit while my 'coaches' consist of a bunch of hookers in schoolgirl outfits.

Honestly, it's gotta feel like shit losing to Sonic Fox. You put all this money into travelling, hoping to do the best, and you lose to a kid in a furry hat tbagging and fucking around, all the while you know he's not even trying but still bodying you. Idk if it's just me but that would for sure discourage me from going to any more tournaments.
I mean he's been wearing the hat for awhile and the tail, in fact what he wears is whatever, it shouldn't matter.

What I wanna know is, is he actually allowed to bring up fursuit guys (who are actually players coaching him, one only of course on stage due to TO rules) up on the stage? Should he be allowed to not give you time to think? There kinda needs to be a limit I feel with that and I feel players should be obligated to say enough is enough, gimme time. I was surprised DevilMaySpy wouldn't even tell us who those people were. That's a bit ridiculous. If you're gonna wear the costume and not have people know who you are, that's bullshit. I'd even make them take it off if I had to because how are you not gonna get distracted by a tall ass fursuit costume right next to you as he's hugging your opponent and you're fighting an EVO champ?

I wanna come out looking like Modern-Day Goldust and just look like a completely weird fuck with odd headphones with lights. :p

Enough of this bullshit now.

Yes, his coach is allowed to wear whatever the fuck he wants.

Trepound was taking ages to decide what to do, was looking away from the screen and had his earphones in, not the gaming headphones so wasn't listening to the game sound. There's nothing wrong with SF showing that he's bored with how long he's taking.

And no, you have no right to know who's in the costume. That's his prerogative. You can't make him take it off at all.

No one is getting beaten because of what he wears, what his coach wears or how he trolls. They're getting beaten by him because he's insanely good. So stop bitching about all that other stuff when it's just a bit of fun.

Do you all know how Micheal Jordan acted on the court? It's a strategy used to get you opponent heated and make a mistake. As long as he's not cheating, or the furry isn't like mad-dogging his opponent 2 inches from their face constantly talking hella trash who cares. What kind of sheltered babby gets offended by teabagging?

@Shaazzyam yeah bruv just block against those two characters. It's easy isn't it?...
Ok. I don't know what you're trying to say.

Im a nobody in the realm of "top player" status and back in 2013 sonic fox played almost 2 hours of offline casuals at a BigE major in mk9 with me helping my smoke learn the kabal matchup. Name me other top players who would do that? I know he is goofy and cocky and trolls in tournament but he definitely does not discourage people from going to tournaments. He will play sets with anyone and its not his fault that none of us can beat him. He may be cocky but all you have to do to stop that is find a way to beat him. He is not a rude or mean person, he just has his shtick and that actually adds hype imo

Just a point of clarification here,I'm in no way saying fox isn't a nice kid. As I've said,I'm sure he is and I've heard nothing but positive things about how he gets on with people on a one to one basis. All I'm saying is that I find the trolling and disrespect to be unnecessary and detrimental for a player of his calibre. He's the greatest prospect in fighting games I can remember. Guys like him shouldn't teabag. When I say he acts like a dickhead,I mean purely in tournament play. I have no reason to think he isn't a great guy in everyday life and it's none of my business how he is in everyday life. It's just the tea bagging and trolling that irks me

That's good to hear, I don't know him personally, I'm just stating from the perspective of a viewer that he seems pretty disrespectful on stream. Pig is also one of the few that I know of who will play you no matter who you are. I kind of understand the whole tbagging thing, if anything that does encourage people to win against him, like you said it does actually kind of add a layer of hype. Maybe i'm just used to online players doing it to me lol

Okay. I didn't say anything about how difficult it is to block on wakeup. I was telling Zoidberg that sometimes you just have to block. If your character has bad wakeups, you can't "find" anything to help you on KD.

It's not that black and white. You have the universal possibility to stay on the ground to make the opponent whiff their moves. They still have to time their low or overhead string and guess when you are going to stand up.

Really!? The dude has won Skullgirls & IGAU and he has a good chance in winning MKX too. Just let him be, if you loose, you loose. You're playing a game where everyone tries to find the dirtiest stuff with their character and yet players get offended by a little teabagging. If I was Fox I would do just the same, there's even a trophy in the game for that behaviour, thanks NRS :)... There are threads on TYM were people say he makes the game look bad by constantly winning.....just winning! Aargh, scrub mentality!
You invest money in a game where a lot of top players were freaking testers, but that doesn't bother anyone, lol. It makes the game look good, facepalm, while they run away with that prize money...

Maybe I got hardened in the arcades and that's why I like his mentality. You had to play cheap if you didn't want to waste your precious money and defending the winning spot was a constant barrage of smacktalk and other crap. Early 90's arcades had some freakin' mean players.

Just look at young Sonic's face and you see that he doesn't do it to be mean... I never met him but you can see he's a friendly, funny guy. If you wanna be top dog you'll just have to train harder instead of wasting time on these forums like we do. Just learn to live with it....

'Just blocking' against 50/50's is hardly something they can level up in.
...okay? I still don't get who you're talking to. Where did I say or make any of these arguments. If it wasn't somehow clear or in English, I was pointing out that you have to block. There's no secret tech for d'vorrah players to do. Knowing what they can do with their okazoomi game, I have no sympathy for them either.

Also, delayed wakeup is your friend.

ok now that i'm back from lunch...

can we talk about the pig of the hut hype curse? feels like any time he puts one player on a pedestal and won't stop pimping them & their character, they don't even get top 8 at the next major.

he did this with 16bit early in injustice, i think at UFGT with pre-patch frost. he did it to zyphox a bit later on, and we can now add blind ducky as the latest victim.

when will we learn not to put too much stock in netplay? i know not all of these cases were based on that but the majority were...

So the young fellow fools around and teabags people after matches. It's not my style, but people are acting like he walked over and punched his opponent, spit on someone, or did something truly objectionable. Imo this is his way of having fun.

If the worst you can be called out for at 17 is hitting the 'down' button in a fighting game, you're probably doing alright :)

I remember when he brought Fox allong to tournaments and hype him up because he played a mean Mileena online - don't think that fox ever won one of those tournaments :). The curse can be real for all I know :)

Very true. He will grow out of it. When I was 17 I was a complete asshole, now i'm just a small portion of an asshole. Ya know. Not to mention of idea of high level gameplay was pulling off a 50% combo in practice mode.

That's not even what I was getting at but ok, I see your point

the more general point to be made here: no one player makes a character good. it's the tools, matchups, and real-time practicality that make a character good.

people here will point to kenshi in MK9, but the pieces were clearly there even if pig never picked him up. i think the reason more people didn't play him was simply because kabal was clearly better overall if you wanted a defensive gameplan.
