All because of secret brutality extras I'd like the community to find. It's fun.
Could have sworn you were *in* "the community" -- not above it.

But today I learned something new :)

Guys, this thread has hit a new low. But I love all of you, so should I stumble across any of these (maybe 0.5% chance of that happening), I'd gladly share it with any of you.

Because, MK brothers

I'm a software dev by trade so I just wrote a script to find out the above combinations lol. I just added in the extra couple options you brought up and voila, thats the number.

Last number is the number of total combos it iterated through. This really isn't as complex as you think it is lol. Multiply it by 3 for the time windows.

Anyways. My point for doing that is to show that no, this isn't "impossible" by any means. Its perfectly reasonable that if you want to learn how to do this, you can use the evidence from the video along with combinations and muscle it. Or you can just sit around and complain how people that do know this aren't sharing.
Yeah you didnt need to writr a script to find that out...

Gesture Required Ahead

Get on that hook
I'm sitting here still wondering how I sometimes do Sonya's Secret XRay Brutal. I think it's a requirement + hold down during XRay. Not sure what the requirement is though.

And I wish if Reptile had more secret Brutals they'd be easier to do. Easiest one is the Hold up during Brutal 1. To get the head in forceball thing.

Obviously, but it was faster to do so. No paper near me to run the permutations (and I just didn't want to do the math) and a simple script only took me 2 minutes to write anyways. Took longer to make the post. I'm a software developer, not a mathematician. Not to mention it let me create a printed list that I used to put into my first post here, and one that I've been checking off since. Also rewriting parts of the script as I go to do things like, give me all the combinations that end in 1, 2 or RT and have at least one forward in it (as he shoots the bird forward). NRS isn't always consistent with relevant inputs but most of the time the input is at least semi-relevant.

I mean... You don't send your kids out to a rain forest on Easter.

I'm all for keeping this secret, but it'd be more enjoyable if we at least knew where to look.

If what Paulo said is true, then we can find new brutalities for all the other characters, but we need to figure out how the secret brutals work.

This one is the key.

Give us something lol

You have to do something during the brutality win pose. That should be enough to go on for now.

This is very true. We didn't find all of the toasty boosts until we found out exactly how the first one worked. I think it was Digimon that found it, or at least had it recorded so we could see what possible inputs he made to get it on accident. Once that got figured out, we were able to crack the code. It still took over a month to find the rest because toasties were so rare and completely random. We had to input the quick uppercut recovery code so we could do 20+ uppercuts per round. There were probably 10-20 people working on finding those inputs.

Since James has said its an input, I'm fairly confident its an input. This means its not like reptiles where you hold up. You're right, maybe there were a few more potential combinations I could have had.
  • Mashing buttons is eliminated by Brutality Kombat
  • Pre-reqs are eliminated by Brutality Kombat
  • Add in only 3 inputs (DF1, DF2 etc..), and its 2688.
  • Assume you can also have it end with LT or RT (some xrays do this), its 3360
  • Its definitely not a "just frame" input, as Trepound did it around 5 times consistently on stream. It could be in different timing windows though which is why I included the 3 timing windows. To figure those out you need to multiply the total combinations by 3. During the Brutality, when the brutality text appears and during the win pose. Even with all that considered, its only 10,000 combinations.
You get several people from TYM working on it and it will certainly not take forever to do.
Even with 10,000 combinations, at about 30 seconds per combination, that's almost 100 man hours, assuming nobody messes up.

With 20 dedicated people, that would still be over 5 hours per person of testing alone, not including time spent recording what you've done and coordinating with other people.

Now add the fact that you might have to hold Stance Switch (think The Kove brutality), Block, or a direction (think... this brutality), DURING the inputs for the brutality or possibly afterwards, and you can increase the number by another HUGE amount.

Honestly it's just too much effort.

Well to set record straight I did tell Check to do MK2 friendships and babalities, for toasty boosts. I mean is this generation that lazy now. Get 2 work, there is so much more goodies to find.. Can you say BABY GORO

(0:55)

The pattern... In his hands... So obvious...

4 2 4 2 4 1

Or, if we assign each hand a numerical value based off of positioning

1234 14 1234 23 1234 2

I'm doing my best to interpret the game files from the PC version of the game I have.

"FX.FX_Brutality.Meshes Brutality_Crow Grapple_Chest Animations.Shared_Anims.Reactions.Reactions_FactionKill NPC_Crow_Landing FullSkeleton BlendSkelAnim FGCharacterObj_AmIFacingLeft MKSkeletalObj_SetCastDynamicShadow brut_crow_fly_in NPC_Crow_Pecking_Looking beak PlaySoundAtObjLoc_ScriptAssetHeaderP_MKObjP Brutality_AreButtonsPressed Stance_Alt_3 Stance_Alt_3_Revolver_R Characters.CHAR.Nomad.FX_Nomad.Particles_Brutality NO_Brutality_CrowSplat_FX brut_crow_squawk MKObj_SetHidden FGSoundEngine_CreateSoundAsset NPC_Crow_FlyAway brut_crow_fly_away "

That seems to be some of the info for the brutal, the big hint for me was "Crowsplat", and "crow_squawk". I feel like "Stance_Alt_3" is significant in some way, but I don't know how.

If you watch the video, you can hear some mashing the triggers after "WINS". Stance switch it mapped to a trigger by default...

Hmmmmmm

Plus on block.
why are you guys freaking out about this one? there's like 37 of these.
Was just about to ask does everyone have a secret brute, guess this answers it.

Guess I should start looking for my main's..

Only one I know of right now is Jacquis X-Ray brutality.

Unless 37 is only the number brutalities with EXTRA shit them and not just secret?
