As a Lao main who basically pockets Quan but plays Quan as much as Lao, I merely see this as a normalization of sorts, I just want to actually get my hands on the beta, try the new versions of both and see what needs fundamental change, no point in crying about the nerfs we see on paper if it's aimed to take away some of the ridiculousness from both. Maybe these stats will be changed again in the meantime, who knows.
Still gives you free armour, safe 50/50's, great meter build and zoning etc.

Yeah it's a bit early to tell i know, I'm a huge fan of yours and I believe in constructive critiques. I said day one just to stress the fact that i'm not the casual quan player complaining about his beloved char being nerfed. I'm just a bit salty about the fact that hex spell is basically gone, armour is slower on start up ( huge nerf imho), ex rune is -1 (even if u can delay it ok fair enough). I really reckon Sorcerer 's been affected too much by it. Anyway let's see

Lao got damage scaling and his meterburn hatspin nerfed to +7, tanya rumors say B12+4 is -10 And can't armour rekka, Liu Kang his F213 cancels are all less plus, DFs ex flying kick is now +1 instead of 2 so effectively most characters can poke out, also aftet DF does a rotation of F213 FBRC he doesn't build meter for a while whilst doing more tune cancels so yeh they are actually balancing out this game
you can still do airborne 141 into free armour, the main way you activate armour spell is unchanged. First off, vortex in its true definiton meant a HKD mixup that lead to a HKD. That definition has since been misappropriated (as has been the case with a lot of FGC terms) to mean any mixup that loops into itself. If it doesn't loop continuously then it's not a vortex. Saying he has a meterless vortex is objectively wrong. Saying that it's a vortex at all is also wrong because you don't have infinite meter, ergo it can't loop into itself ad nausem. Unless you have the meter to kill, it's a mixup. Please use the word correctly next time.
He does have a meterless vortex though, you don't need the bat for it. Mix up into trance, f21, free mix up into trance, rinse and repeat.

You are going to feel pretty silly acting this superior when you realise that he does indeed have a meterless vortex, using that very definition.
The discussion was pertaining to the specific mixup setup that Jagged laid out. It was extremely obvious from the context of the conversation. I get everyone thinks I'm being a dick for correcting someone for grossly abusing a commonly misused word and they want to jump my bones for an out of context quote; however, the Summoner Bat Mixup is not a vortex (as per the horribly misappropriated use of the word) after this patch. End of discussion.
