Yes if I read a projectile I can shadow kick , but shadow kick can just as easily get baited. Not to mention that it is not a hard knock down , and they can now tech roll , and seeing as I have no stamina , I cannot chase them down.

It does matter that he has a floaty jump because it makes hm easier to anti air if my opponent baits my jump , you can bait sub and still not anti air him simply because his jump ins are so strong.

MB green balls being +4 will keep him safe , but I'm spending a bar to keep myself safe , instead of being able to build meter. Clearly not good for cage.
You're spending a bar to be at plus frames. I know he doesn't get anything guaranteed, but that's where conditioning comes in.

Shadow kick gets easily baited? Same goes for baiting bad projectiles.

I'm sorry, but the argument of, "This thing gets baited so it is bad" goes both ways. So it's a fairly even situation.

So what if they tech roll? They just put themselves closer to the corner. Again, if you're jumping during a projectile animation, they can't anti-air you.

Look, the worst thing they can do after a break is walk back, throw a projectile, or jump back.

If they jump back, you shadow kick.

If they walk back, you walk in or dash in.

If they throw a projectile, you can low profile with d4 or jump it depending on your spacing.

All of this is read dependent, but welcome to fighting games. You have to make tough reads and play patient sometimes.

All of your arguments basically boil down to, "I have to make reads and play footsies, so this hurts my character."

It doesn't. All it means is that both players have to play the nuetral after a break. That's fine.

Does 214 fbc 21(or 214) ex-fireball jail? Prenerf it did, and left scorpion at +8 on block or something like that.

I'm guessing this is aimed towards me, so to make things clear, all I said was "all the famous streamers and top players seem to be getting codes." I never said they were the ONLY ones getting codes, chill out dude.

Um, did you forget about the part where Cage still accumulates more damage, chip, meter build and even plus frames from his projectiles in Stunt Double? This isn't even taking into account potential Fisticuffs buffs.

Also, unlike most (if not all?) run cancel oriented variations, A-List can still link from an F3 dash cancel. Yes the wait for stamina to regenerate into run territory is relatively long, but sufficient stamina for dash cancels, not so much.

Sorry, I'm just salty over the lack of communication on netherealm's part about the status of the ps4 beta. I honestly don't care too much if I make it in right away, I'm just tired of checking my email every five minutes only to see nothing there. If they can at least say "the ps4 beta will begin on XX" I'd be happy, but, in NRS fashion, they leave us in the dark.

Lets be real here, it takes 17 whiffed/hit specials or 8 blocked specials to build 1 bar (for the zoner/Kitana). If they manage to land all 17 projectiles, in Mournful Kitana's case that still leaves 15% health and the opponent now has almost 2 bars of meter (about 1/5th shy of 2nd bar). If the opponent blocked all 8 (for the zoners bar) they take 13.04% chip, nothing too crazy there when you look at what several rushdowns can do once they have you cornered and jailed. Not to mention raw projectiles don't force you into blocking and there are other means to avoid them. Breakers don't even put you full screen they put you at max jump in range.

Basically if Kitana is getting away with building two full bars from zoning alone, 'due' to your like 5ish secs of having no stamina to run, while not utilizing your other aggressive options (walk, dash, ducking, low profiling, jumping, advancing normals, etc) well homie that's on you cause that's at least 16 blocked (or a ton more not blocked) projectiles for her to build enough to break again, which would far excide your stamina penalty. In fact it takes 9 ingame seconds to throw 17 glaives or 5secs to throw 8 blocked so you would have your stamina back around the time she built one bar if all blocked. Most matches are over in 30secs and that's against the likes of GM sub-zero.
