Also, as far as cR getting mopped, that's a joke. SonicFox can mop you, Dragon literally just beat you, Bio recently mopped you at Rumble, Cowboy owns your soul, our last set you beat me by a 2-2 last game last round win despite having a 6-4 MU in your favour, whiteboi's Jason is also super strong and I wouldn't be surprised if he beat you as well.

If I just look at me vs the rest of team YOMI:

DJT: I get mopped
MIT: Haven't played in tournament since June so I dunno how it would go
Slayer: Haven't played in tournament since I beat him at EVO
REO: I'm up like 6-1 on him in tournament in MKX, most recently double eliminated him at DTN
Mike: I mopped him the last few times we met in tournament

I don't understand this community. Half of you are saying this should go ahead, great idea etc. the other half are shooting it down and calling other people stupid? Now I'm all for a bit of banter but this thread hasn't achieved shit. Is anyone from yomi or cR going to organise this or is this just going to be another event where the teams talk all day about who's better but never prove anything? I swear this thread will just end up being 15 pages of trash talk that amounts to nothing

People aren't just sitting around, in fact when you need them for these events two guys are At Denny's, one is stoned, two are lost, 2 more in hotel but phone dead, 1 is emo and 2 more don't wanna do it because they don't care

Woo MKX in the pole position on Sunday -- you're the man!

So judging by this schedule, it looks like the biggest time slot to do a self-organized team battle would be after MKX Pools on Sat. But realistically, people aren't going to want to play people they're about to play in Top 16 the next morning in a tournament on Saturday night. People will be labbing and getting ready. And Sunday usually never happens, since everyone is ready to chill out and go home or just fool around. So that would leave Friday, after Injustice.

Given that Injustice ends at 10 PM on Friday though, everyone involved would basically have to go straight from the venue to the hotel room of whoever's hosting. Knowing how things go, if people screw around for 2 hours, disappear to get food until Midnight, etc., then by the time it's 1 AM, no one has the patience for it and everybody'll just end up scattering, with some guys getting drunk, and people playing random casuals and money matches instead.

If it's not Pokemon, you'd want someone else to bring at least one additional setup, and you'd have to be ok with not streaming every single match (because that inevitably takes forever, and almost never works out for anything more than 10-15 matches). Realistically there's probably not enough time for full round-robin with IGAU (most likely) ending after 10 PM, so it'd probably have to be a shorter format.

So it's a slim chance. It'd require everyone to be really serious about making this happen, and you guys would have to work together as adults. Pig and Jeremiah are right that it's more than a notion, and that's why these things usually end up falling apart.

But we can dream, and it'd be nice.. To have some teams actually play each other after all the smack talk.. For once :D

Slayer reset the bracket on fox AND beat him at another tournament. I think overall team yomi is obviously better. Think of Golden state vs the cavs without kyrie love and shumpert. You need more than one player to be considered the better team. And DJT or slayer can easily go toe to toe with fox

I think cR would take the match. Whiteboi would have a jason upset against one of the yomi members. Reo would do something interesting with a character nobody sees very often. Mike would get fucked by the stage in his match against dragon.

Actually running a team tournament is a pain. At multiple tournaments people try to do it but fail cause X amount of members are not present at the time even though they said they where down for it. It always happens. Its easier 3v3 but when you start getting higher it gets harder to keep control of everyone. People get bored, Hungry, tired, want to smoke, drink, etc. Some people are not able to stay in one place at one time in some instances. If you lose just one person then it could mess up a lot of things. You need someone who is willing to take the time to have thing organized. But more so the people who want to do it need to be willing to wait. That is something people do not fully understand. The players need to commit a lot of time to the team tournament which again some are not willing too.
