Kidding aside (and theorycrafting here)...if the u4 part of the 21u4 string can be done as a stand alone move, would it "break" her to OP level?

No it wouldn't. She could be given a number of things and she wouldn't be broken.

I was going to make a 'Reasonable Mileena Buffs' thread (probably will make it later) because I doubt anyone from NRS reads deep into our general discussion thread. As long as we don't come across as assholes, which our community doesn't for the most part, maybe they'll look at it (and I'll tweet the link everyday until they acknowledge me).

None of us are looking to make her OP but I think all of us want some tweaks here and there to ensure she can hold her own. Right now Ethereal is the best at making a stand but you have to spend a bar to do it.

Thoughts about me making a thread. I'll edit the top post with the ideas with the most support (likes or quoted posts supporting the idea) as often as possible. A simple format could look similar to this:

i want mileena buffs as much as the next guy, but in all honesty i don't think NRS is going to do anything more with her. i think the last patch was a statement with that nerf they gave her. however, if u do make a topic @JerzeyReign, i would gladly support and fetch some ideas.

I think that nerf they gave her was to keep her from doing extremely high meterless damage. They seemed to want to normalize that across the entire cast.

She absolutely NEEDS her D1/D3 to be faster. No question. After that, things are up for debate.

yeah, i agree with faster pokes. D4 too would be nice.

i honestly wish that her NJP and F1 in piercing was universal too. would just give her a small boost in range for the other two variants.

Yeah, faster pokes are my main concern. If we can poke some gaps then all of her variations should be very useful instead of spending a bar with ethereal to survive.

Sidenote: Has anyone noticed that Shinnok's stolen Mileena roll is safe? It doesn't launch on block and it has to be plus because he can go straight into standing block. I know I've seen it before but wasn't 100% sure until earlier today.

Mileena is viable with all variations. I'm not sure if she needs buffs, but her d1 occasionally whiffing when I'm suppose to be + on block is annoying.

When I mean viable, I mean in tournament settings with guys who know the matchup. I'm also talking about the characters I see during my locals so I apologize for the confusion.

F1 I think is fine in the other variations, but 100% agree on NJP. Even with the sais it's still not THAT far reaching compared to other NJPs in the game. Plus, it helps combo consistency in Ethereal/Ravenous.

Didn't saltface get top 8 at the last major? I'm not saying she is predator tier, but I like that she has to use meter for good advantage. All characters should be balanced that way.

The reads Saltface makes gives us the hope that she can deal with anybody. I study his matches ... his reads and MU knowledge are top notch. If Mileena had the quicker pokes than he'd win a major. Not saying she's terrible but I give a lot more credit to Saltface than the character. Again, the reads he has to make are incredible and take a serious grind.

Do you have the issue of Mileenas d1 whiffing? I noticed after 123 on block her d1 can whiff. They should adjust that and make it 7 frames lol.

Nah, they are short and slow. When we are dealing with pressure, a quicker poke could help us make it "our turn" a bit more often. Against high pressure characters like Cassie or a Kung Lao, a quicker poke would give us a chance against their pressure strings without having to spend a bar or back dashing into the corner.

I'm very comfortable with Mileena to a point where quicker pokes on d1 or d3 would be the perfect buff for me. Looking through the cast, Mileena is probably the only one in which skilled players aren't really afraid to move in on. Everyone else has a good range poke, a quick poke or an out/getaway mechanic. Fighting out of the corner or fighting to keep out of the corner with Mileena, other than ethereal, is probably the hardest thing to do, at least for me.

How about Mileena pokes out with a sai with d1, and reduce startup to 7 frame :D
I really wish that ex roll doesn't add so much gravity. Combos with regular roll look so fantastic with something like jump kick telekick, B3 telekick, B34 air sai. But combos with ex roll look so stupid with just a neutral jump punch....everyone's afraid of dropping a combo. It's so unfair when Kung Lao tempest can use ex spin to wake up, then still be able to juggle with normal spin to get 38%.

2) give her an u4 move; even if it's the exactly the u4 part of the 21u4 string, I'll be singing praises.

3) It would be VERY generous if they give back her MK9 d4 (lol...like that'll happen).
