I'm begging to think Rx blade toss is +8 rather than 9

Because I can't seem to jail back 1 or d1 after than when j can jail the 8 frame moves

I'm fairly comfortable with 1 frame links but this doesn't feel possible, can anybody do it ? as I'm here 20 mins trying

B13 1+3 xx Laser B23 2+4 MB NJP B1 B1 B13 1+3 xx straight ball would become his new BnB if it was special cancelable. It would also give him a strong damage buff as a result, a bit too strong IMO.
Or you could replace ball with knife to keep them standing...this sounds pretty cool :D

To be fair most if not all true re standing moves are now 2in1. By true I mean not stuff like Jax gotcha in pumped up or not finishing mileenas ender (sai onara?) in piercing. They should probably reducera damage a bit and make it less plus to compensate

With this being the GENERAL discussion thread, I've gotta ask the core of the Kano mains: what's Kano's Battle strategy in the Ermac Matchup? Soul Ball literally shatters Kano's zoning potential in all variations. Jump Ball is near useless due to the Soul Ball and Levitation. Ermac can both outzone Kano and has better buttons up close. I've been hanging my head against the wall with this matchup, as well as the Kitana matchup, but I've been getting tips on how to deal with the fans and such.

Trading with soul ball is only an issue when he has 3 souls. Play the mid range footsie game. I'd say go cyber and outrage him with your normals and anti air with laser (they love their jik). On wu you CAN (although maybe not optimal) d4 ex straight laser to beat soul blast. Once you blow up that wu they might start going for super unsafe tele.

I think Commando should have more tick throws. It's what grapplers should do. Get inside and make you regret it. Nothing wrong with a strong grappler slamming you but NRS doesn't make those lol.
NRS Grapplers are just so fucking weirdly designed. The hybrid 3D frame data, strings, & attack ranges just doesn't gell with being on a 2D plain for grapplers which is why I moved on from Commando Quick. They don't play like grapplers in any other game 2D or 3D and not in a good or interesting way.

Cybernetic doesn't need more midscreen damage. The latest up laser bufff already gave us +43 percent in the corner for only one bar. Knives could deal some more damage however, but I think the variation that's currently falling behind is Commando. I recently went into the lab with Erron Black and was actuallly shocked to see his many tick options. Some of his strings can even be cancelled into command grab on hit (the grounded strings!).

Kano needs more ticks to be honest.

Commando's problem is identity, even if he got more ticks nothing really stands out about him imo. Kinda feel like Commando shoulda got the Buff Special over Cutthroat or Commando got special movement options or something to help it better stand out.

More ticks would be nice. B13 would be a really really powerful one so idk about that. Idk.. I think the ticks he have function and we don't really need more to execute his gameplan. One reasonable buff I recently thought of is that both his high and low parry should probably parry mids. One of my buddies pointed out that's how Sadira's parries work in KI; and it just makes a lot of sense to me.

So, like a high parry would hit oh, high, and mid while low,parry would hit low and mid?

I'd rather they find a way for me to choose a direction to put them

I've never played KI. Is it a block button, high/low mix up game like MK, or is it more like a back to block, left/right mix up game closer to SF?

The fact he has forward and backwards command grabs as well as high and low parries don't make him stick out?

Ok so I was going through his frame data and noticed that not only did f4 and 11 and 112's frames on hit changed but jump 1/2 are +2 on block now. F33, and b31's frames have changed on hit as well. This looks really good for cyber and cutt but is a little bothersome for commando since the hit stun lasts so long on these moves, a mistimed command throw will whiff :( It's not the end of the world but we gotta delay the timing a little if ya wanna command throw. This also opens up doors to bait the opponent into back dashing, armoring, or jumping since they recover so late.

It just feels like a 7-3 match up sometimes. Like damn Ermac, can I get a chance? Sigh. The joys of playing Cybernetic... Watching an Ermac hover and ground pound, laughing as you try to get in then they hit you with the infamous D3 D3 D3 Overhead Soul Ball Combo.

You can't fuck up against an ermac or your gonna be floating in the fuckin sky all day. Best way is to block good, read good, and punish hard. Just wait for the teleport you know it's coming.

Block and jump in or metered soul ball cancel to get a combo of you are desperate. Beating Ermac is all about punishing. He is super unsafe

The more I think about it, the reason Commando struggles the most is because his footsies are the weakest. F4 choke is shitty when compared to Cybernetic's b2 or Cut Throats f2.

He's cool and all, but in tournament if you came up against a MU that isn't great for Cybernetic, why would you choose his command grab options over plus on block 50/50's and superior footsies?
