This thread is pushing it, but if Kano doesn't get that "safe" Up ball fixed or any buffs.. Please REMOVE THE UP EYE LASER. REMOVE IT NRS OR GIVE IT SOME PURPOSE. WHY WOULD I WANT TO BE ANYWHERE NEAR MY OPPONENT AS CYBERNETIC TO EVEN WANT TO USE THAT AS AN ANTI AIR? ITS DESIGN JUST DOESN'T EXECUTE CORRECTLY AND INTERFERES WITH MY ONLY LOW OPTION INPUT. I'm done ranting lol.

I play cutthroat/cyber mostly and find that cutthroat is pretty decent. His B1 needs some serious tweaking as I find it to be shit and you need to be right on top of your opponent. Good luck hitting it after a JIP.

A simple animation change to make it a lunge forward and then slash back would make a big difference.

Also, at this point give all three variations Cybers knives. They're nothing to brag about but would help cutthroat and commandos variation a little than having the high knife.

Just my worthless idea.

I'd rather them buff his up close capabilities in those variations then give us knives if they were gonna do anything.

Cyber- Vastly Overrated tier. Good Week 1, then nerfed, one level above trash tier in mid July. No dirt. No pressure without meter, unsafe pressure with meter, incredibly low damage, zoning variation that loses zoning wars to most zoners, no oki, no corner game.

Commando- Doodoo tier. Fun to play as though. Only thing worse is Spectral Ermac level bad.

I agree with this assessment.

An interesting but highly unlikely Cybernetic buff would be to make the regular horizontal ball cancelable with d,d to gain minor block advantage after certain strings. The cancels would cost stamina so Cybernetic Kano would be able to create some offense similarly to Predator's Plasma Caster cancels. And if you improved the up laser, this variation would definitely become viable.

Giving them cyber knives ain't even really a buff. Normal is safe on block against the majority of the cast unlike cyber knife.

Characters in mkx that don't have good damage on both lows and overheads have it rough. Characters like goro, kotal khan, liu kang, and kitana. The only character that I think is actually good but has horrible high low is kenshi and that is because he can out zone pretty much the entire cast.

I was more referring to his "zoning" option and that it hits mid.

Maybe make other variations knives hit mid?

I don't know anymore. Playing Kano and Jax pretty much equally the last three months, it's frustrating seeing all the options Jax has compared to Kano. Kind of a slap in the face to Kano.

True and True. It's what he needs. But it appears we need top representation to have this happen similar to what has happened for several other chars. But with all the bills sold on stream and the community buying them it'll never happen.

I never said Kano didn't need help, he does, across all variations in fact. But He doesn't need a mountain of buffs like Kitana received, Commando would be ridiculous to play against if he's not handled with care.

The downplaying in this thread is incredible, people really trying to convince us that Kano is the worst in the game? Not even close. Kano is definitely a solid character at his base level. His variations could use a few minor buffs to compete with the upper top tiers and thats it.

Well I'm just a little upset because during one of showtime's matches he clearly made a read that the opponent was gonna jump at him. The opponent did ,so showtime EX up balled only, he got jump kicked out of it. It didn't take a hit of armor or nothing, just straight up kicked em outta it. Idk bout the rest of you but to me, that scenario's not supposed to happen like that.....

Even with armor we can't be safe with or without meter. I cannot wait for this next patch and the following notes honestly. I think I'm gonna stay with Kenshi :( or jump onto Tremor who seems promising.
