PRICING / EDITIONS

• Mortal Kombat 1 Standard Edition will be available physically and digitally for $69.99 (SRP)
• Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition will be available physically and digitally for $109.99 (SRP) — includes all Standard Edition content, along with the Kombat Pack, early access to the game beginning Sept. 14, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency). The Kombat Pack will feature a Johnny Cage character skin with the likeness of famed actor and martial artist, Jean-Claude Van Damme (available at launch), early access to six new playable characters (available post-launch), and five new Kameo Fighters (available post-launch).

NEW MECHANICS

• Kameo - MK1 introduces "Kameo fighters", which can be called in for assists and combo extenders, breakers, etc. Some Kameo fighters are part of the main roster of the game.
• Aerial Kombat returns from MK: Armageddon; each character has strings that can only be used on a airborne opponent

 

I think Noob is sitting this one out. Too much shit is going on for this character to drop like that.

Yeah given that Noob is basically Corrupted Sub Zero, I'm not even sure what it would mean for Noob to already be around, particularly now that there's a reset and this is everyone's new origin story. He barely makes sense as a character without the context that he was another character that got turned into what he is. The only way I could see him in this one is if in the back half of the game Sub Zero goes full dark side and becomes Noob (or some other character does) and you unlock him that way or something.

 

I think Noob is sitting this one out. Too much shit is going on for this character to drop like that.

thats the strange thing, i havent seen anything gameplay related. its always story here, fatality there but basic gameplay...nope.

 

Because the looses that leak don't play these games.... There'll be plenty of info soon.. Though probably in chsricter threads (as it looks like there will be no forums set up in time)

Literally this. I would think there would be at least SOME footage of just basic gameplay but people would rather leak the story.

 

I am interested in new gameplay as well, but I don't want to look anything up until I've seen the story because I don't want to be spoiled on key events. If there's an archive of the story stream available, I plan to watch it, but I still can't find one.

 

There is gameplay footage of Reiko, Nitara, Saho, Meelina, Reptile , Raiden and Gearas. Most of it is CPU's on the hardest difficulty.

Well I’ve seen mileena has an up teleport, a down teleport, an air sai that throws three at a time, and some blades that she uses in a string I think

 

Reptile also seems to be able to do multiple forceballs in his combos. Mileena is looking veeery fast this time too

Lol I like how this dude has the game before anybody but can’t be bothered to actually learn a combo for anyone on his own. Reptile looks nice though

I dont know, it looks kinda like her animations in MK11 that made a nod to her UMK3 animations as well. Doesnt bother me too much but that might change.

do you have to wait for nr to reach out for colab stuff or could/did you ask if you get early access to the game to make some char specific videos to be released after the games launch?

unless you are a big org like IGN there is no reaching out to any of the companies. They email you when they are ready.

I can tell you right now that nobody has codes though(even IGN). Maybe, hopefully monday.

We still could be surprised. Remember all the "super secret unlockables" that Mk11 was supposed to have that all ended up being in the game including Mileena. I mean it took a year and 9 months but still lol. They also didn't launch KL in MK11 for a month after the game release. This is kind of why I miss the days where they would just say "these will be the characters in the game" see you then! I also question if Megan Fox was supposed to do more promotion for the game and if her interview in pink was done before the actor strike. But I dunno ... she is always in the news promoting her bikini pics on insta that apparently have the internet in an uproar lol. Maybe she is trying to slyly promote something. and wasn't she in another game too? It reminds me of during the height of covid the alerts would be those numbers, shootings, then Elizabeth Hurley looks slammin in her bikini. Why that is news or would be in my algorithm IDK lol. I mean i'm sure it's top news for some people but still. I digress.
