Guys stop the arguments about your stances on the 2nd amendment. And stop making jabs about our countries government, because i know from reading multiple threads on politics the overwhelming majority of tym voted for it to be this way.

Make posts about condolences or things like that, but we dont need to use this tragedy as an excuse to bicker with each other, we have plenty of that as it is.

Making guns illegal won't stop people from owning guns illegally. There are a shit ton of illegal things people do just because they can get awayy wih it. Owning a gun would fall under that category. They should have stricter laws on who should own a gun but not take away the rights. The person who did this should have died at the scene. Making him suffer for what he did won't make us any different than he is. At the end if the day he will be dead so make it as quick as possible. Wasting time and money on low lives like him is useless. Use that money to help those who are at a loss.

You cannot smoke weed but can buy a gun.

And if this fool's name had been Muhammad something something, we would have invaded another Middle Eastern country by Monday.

This country is run by idiots.
Seriously. This shit needs to stop. My condolences to the families that lost their children/loved ones in this tragedy :(

Switzerland has the highest gun ownship in the world and yet it is also one of the safest countries in the world.

Japan/Korea have strong gaming industries that are so big that they get televised and yet their crime rates are lower than the U.S.

So its obvious that guns and video games do not kill people. Can we stop trying to push an agenda and realize that people kill people? Maybe if you fix the morals of the people, you'll fix part of the problem. Brb going to play a game where I'm a half-demon half-human hoodlums that shoots people all day and slices motherfuckers all day.

You're skewing the statistics. Switzerland has the 2nd highest suicide-by-gun rate in the world (second only to the United States, and only by a small margin). Japan outlaws the possession or use of any weapons whatsoever.

As sad as this incident is whats even more sad is that if the guy would have lived he would have been tried and sentenced to death but he would sit on deathrow for the next 15 years while me, you and the victims families paid for him to get hot meals and TV while he waits to be executed. We let the mentally unstable walk around the U.S. with some "meds" in their pocket and then shit like this happens. Hopefully one day someone in power will wake up and see the MAJOR flaws in our system and fix them. My heart goes out to the friends and families of this tragic day and I'm glad the guy is dead cause our country wouldnt have had the balls to do what needed to be done..... a .96 cent bullet to the mofo's face.

Having a gun doesn't increase your chances to kill yourself. It just gives you another option of how to kill yourself.

I am not sure what's going on with the Facebook thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if some idiot media person searched the name and put it out. It seems like it's a race now with media. Ridiculous...

I think about weird things though. Like that could be the actual gunmen playing off what he did. But didn't the news say the gunman was dead?? And there was a second gunman???? So confusing...

You know, mexico sees some crazy shit here and there. Frequently in some locations, and out of the blue in others. Sometimes, just like we`re seeing more and more in the states, it happens in a public place. Like a casino, or a club, or a restaurant. So what has Mexico done? They haven`t been able to stop people from obtaining guns (though that doesn`t mean they shouldn`t be trying). And they haven`t taken the insane position that everyone should just be allowed to carry guns for "protection".

They made military police. One of them is called Fuerza Civil. Whenever I go to the mall, there are some soliders walking around. Full gear, machine guns. At first, it`s unnerving. But you get used to it quick. And you realize that it`s not for public intimidation. No one here is scared of the soldier walking down the halls. They understand that it`s a response to a very real threat. And knowing what is possible, I feel secure around them now. It`s not military personal that randomly open fire on schools and theatres. So I don`t fear them in the slightest.

Maybe it`s time for the US, and other places, to wake up. Time to stop pretending everything is alright. It`s not alright. It`s a new world. And this shit is only getting more and more common. It`s not a pleasant thing to have to admit that your society needs armed guards in high population centers, but I can`t see the harm in having trained professionals on hand to deal with nightmare scenarios like this. You`d have to have a huge band of people come in and take out the soldiers before they could do anything, and that`s not the threat the US is facing so it wouldn`t be a possibility.

I`m just...really sad. And saddened more knowing that this is simply going to continue happening because the argument tends to boil down to 1) Ban guns, or 2) Arm teachers/store owners/whoever. I motion that we just suck it up, admit that our society is getting dumber and more violent, and change the way we think about public safety.

I'm watching a live update, and they are saying that originally, the media identified Ryan Lanza as the shooter--this was incorrect. They are now saying, it is his brother, Adam Lanza that was the shooter. He apparently stole his brother's ID. There's also a second crime scene--I think there was another body found there.

wait wait, so Ryan Lanza is wrongly being accused for a crime that his brother commited? I mean, based on his status updates and everything..... is he aware that is was his brother?

"Strongly Suggest", doesn't prove. You also act like harvard studies haven't been wrong before. But even then your whole point doesn't have any merit. Having a gun does not increase violence towards others. So what if Switzerland likes to blow their heads off, atleast they aren't shooting each other. Doesn't change the fact that Switzerland is safer than majority of the 1st world countries.

If you want to go kill yourself go ahead, just don't get anybody involved.

It's so confusing...maybe he and his brother were in on it??

Also, mods can we get Bill and Raging out of this thread. So annoying.

What did little children ever do to this guy?

I just wish I could bring this jerkoff back to life to force him to watch nothing but vids of the victim's families and the aftermath. Not to mention, being forced to face these family members and friends to try to explain to them why their loved ones had to die.

I don't think anyone would mind paying taxes for this instead of "Club Fed".....
