I'm trying to figure out all of ermacs best pokes and moves to space people and play footsies with. If anyone can tell me that would be great.
D1 5 frames, disjoiinted hitbox, good AA, Long reach, unsafe on block though
D3 can't recall frames but it's solid all around frame wise with good reach & low
F3 12 Frame startup but huge hitbox, hits mid, only -3, can full combo convert on hit by following up with D1xLift/Soul Ball

Hi there, Ermac was my main in MKX so I was willing to learn his mystic variation but I can't figure out how it's supposed to be played: are there any good players using this variation or is everyone sticking with MoS?
MOS is stronger but Mystic isn't bad at all, if you have a defensive mindest you can make it work

LOL you mean d3 not d312 hahaha your saying d3 is 12 frames. Completely misread the first time. Good stuff. Divorah has some serious footsies. there is this door i'm opening with ermac. I like where it is going.

Quick questions:

1 - Does B1D2 stop the wake up game?

2 - Does a low instant air blast that is blocked put you at a positive frames? Im not home so I can't check but does anyone know off the top of their head?

1: its a hard knockdown, so if i understand those right, yes or they can only use delayed wake ups(?)
2: yes, but im not sure by how much

Some food for thought. If Ermac levitates and QC does sky drop while Ermac is still in the air, sky drop whiffs completely and Ermac gets a free full combo. Dont know if its intended (probably is cause Ermac's hurt box is really weird during levitate), but if it is Ermac can nullify QC's air skulls and rune traps (need to test the latter). With this tech you can also check Summoner QC from full screen if he tries to summon nether bat.

Also his d3. It wins against almost EVERYTHING when done at sweep range. Prime examples: KL's b3, f2, Jax's f3,f4,f2, Cassie's b1 etc. It has 7 active frames, which for a low poke is extremely godlike. Plus its fast, safe, lowers hit box and has huge range for a d3.

Could Quan chi be the one Match-up spectral ermac be used in?

I think it's more about QC's hitbox during the move and not Ermacs hurtbox. It's pretty easy to hit Ermac out of levitate, so I'm guessing QC's hitbox is way low with that move.

It could, but why use Spectral when Mos or Mystic can do the same thing and with more damage?
Spectral could stay in the air and move with full air travel completely nullifying the zoning (and possibly teleport) instead of just levetating in place

It is a hard knockdown so they need to get up on that spot. Which means they can not tech roll away.
Ive started to use this ender more.
2 - you have already been answered. It is +6 about at the lowest I believe.

Lol how are people doing this insta-air with ermac. inputs?
It can be buffered out of other strings and out of d3.
But for a raw one, you just need to get the practice down

enable shortcuts in controls = profit :)
I have this enabled, but just out of curiosity what are you actually entering in as your inputs for this ?

Yeah you have to input your wakeup backwards as far as I can tell, it's pretty wacky, not 100% sure how it works.
Very nice find chef. Will definitely be practicing this.

I input d,d+b. Without b. It is easy from the left side as you can roll your thumb. But harder from the right side :(

counterquestion - how do you buffer it in normals? I saw how Sonic does d3 into air blast but can't figure out how to escape recovery...is it even possible?

Do you mean UP, d+b ? lol
In normals, to buffer it you just need to get used to the recovery frames of the move.
Pretty much as something is about to end starting inputting the up and then go into the air blast.
The d3 for example, as he is bringing his leg back in after extending it is when you can start trying to buffer the up
This was something I used a lot in MK9, so it is second nature to me now. Was not hard to transfer over at all.

I see. Need to practice :)

Is there anything you guys feel Ermac needs improved or added to, in any of his variations? I still stand by Mystic force push not being as negative on whiff/block and him getting a projectile is a bit of wishful thinking.

Everyone and their moth plays MoS so feel free to chime in, and as far as I know only Haketh and maybe a few others actually plays Spectral, I'd like to hear from them too.

This is also a Zaf blow-up.
I will constantly be updating this thread with his important and relevant information. I will also leave links here in this thread'a OP for other threads that are started. This way we won't lose anything!

In Mystic I would make push less negative to have ability to check with it as in mk9 and add more damage on ex version.

MoS needs less recovery on ex dissapear on the ground. At the moment we can't punish or do anything after using it.

Add more damage on ex soul blast.

Don't know about spectral but with these improvements ermac will be awesome and not broken imho

@Error thanks for the blow up lol.

Its hard to maintain when I want to play the game. Life comes first yo

As for changes, I wish ex teleport had armor on standing, not just wake up. Might make it a little too strong and OP. But that's all I would change right now.
