I really need to learn how to run. First few days I kept trying to dash cancel to extend combos like in MK9, don't do that anymore fortunately. But I do sometimes accidentally run cause I still want to block after a dash. And when I intentionally run, I don't get the timing right, it's all so fast for me.

Other than that, pretty much everything else is still a weakness. Especially wake up, getting up safely and such.

Just from playing online it would have to be lesser played characters such as Quan, Shinnok, Lao(suprisngly), etc etc.

Had a hell of a set against a Quan who was decent tonight. Could have done better but not knowing what to punish or his moveset made it a wing it type of set.

Quan's and Shinnok's give me problems as well,

Footsies, getting in, neutral, and matchups. Just started playing online and I'm 19-1, but I know I'm winning with gimmicks and low/overhead, overhead/low, shenanigans. It's really hard to block Cassie's bullshit in lag. I don't feel good about the way I'm winning, I know it won't work against good players, and I know I don't know shit about this game.

Spammer. Crouch walk hater.
Specific matchups and punishing. Both go hand in hand since I have to grind the characters to learn what works and what doesn't against each one. And there are a lot of characters.

Am I the only one who still treats the run button as an actual button sometimes? I mean, I literally will hold it way longer than it needs to be and run right past my combo or throw out some forward normal. This has cost me matches at key moments.

i vote for "other"
i hate 2D fighting games with weak anti airs. in mkx they can run and jump into you all day. i dont understand why some d2 have so much startup. aa jabs seems not to work?
i would say aa was better in mk9 :/

I would say my only real problem I've had is getting things out that I don't want because of negative edge. Going from blocking into b+2 and getting a fireball, down blocking into throw and getting trance, that sort of thing. Oh and teching throws, the throw teching in this game is horrible, a 50/50 throw that you have to let go of block to attempt at teching, that's some sort of sick mario party mechanic, has no place in a competitive fighting game.

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
My problem? Finding time to grind and lab matchups. I feel I have the combo system and run mechanic down.

You can turn off negative edge (release check) in settings

Yeah I did, I still get these problems though. It's mostly due to being conditioned to down back to block in every other fighter, but in this game they want you to hold directly down. Not that that would help with sliding from down to back and doing a b+2, still would give me skull on Quan.

Still trying to read early jumps to whiff punishing them on the landing, that is by far my greatest weakness, ppl still jumps alot on me.

Same here... I should maybe find another main. I don't have the skills to execute better combos out of Cassie.

Hitbox advantage on opponents wake ups & normals that are so fast you can't even punish why have reverse when you can't reverse anything

Ok I'm done crying :joker:

Mileena's back!
My neutral game is awful. I don't know how to pressure sometimes, especially against spammers because they poke away at my health, and specific MU's screw me up sometimes. I cannot beat Ermacs, Liu Kangs, Kung Jins, or D'vorahs.
