The best zoner is the one that is most viable at the highest level against the other top tier / tournament characters, not the character who can spam projectiles full screen to make you come to him and then have a difficult time or struggle in a lot of match-ups.

There's a pretty big difference not many players seem to understand.

I thought Kitana looked really strong in many portions of the screen. But I guess I don't know if we're talking second season and all that.

I considered it but decided not to mainly because of the nerf she got. Calling drone full screen is much riskier now you cant cancel it into homing missile immediately, this makes it easier for the opponent to get in when they see yo ucall drone because they don't have to be scared of the missile like before. Damn I miss pre-patch Special Forces, haven't used her in 17 days and counting :'(

He's got a point, but those options don't mean that there's no zoning "AT ALL" it's just way easier than before. There is one zoner I feel that's the best... Either Predator, Hish-Qu-Ten or Quan-Chi, Summoner. No one else! They both have way too many options on getting in..

I main Liu and I feel his zoning is very good especially since his spacing and b2/d2 are so good. Also, his iafb make your opponent afraid to jump. HOWEVER, there are many characters that simply outzone me. Specifically, characters with diagonal projectiles are difficult to counter. If Liu had a good poke he'd be top tier but ya know, can't have it all. Up close he is pretty solid in flame fist especially and at a distance. Most characters can't deal with FF Liu if played well.

I chose Quan Chi. He has very solid zoning.Question though, which variation gives him the armor field? That seems to be the best zoning in the game to me followed by predator.
