Ok so basically Hellfire is dead then? Instead of 214 FBC cancels now have to use 21 FBC? lol what a ridiculously stupid change, character was low tier already
I dunno. 214 is +2 on block now so you get follow up pressure. If you go 21 cancel its almost the same right? And if you do 214 but they try to armor the next one that you do 21 cancel then you'll hit them. I think there could still be a meta behind it.

But my Scorpion knowledge is weak so I could be wrong lol.

Cause it's not like A-List doesn't have an advancing armor move that can blow past most projectiles.

Or, y'know, you could show patience and walk in.

Or you could walk, make the read on a projectile and jump on for a full combo.

Holy fuck, you people will bitch about anything.
Not only that but rushdown is already terribly overwhelming in this game. Zoning buff is welcomed for me at least.

guys, balance changes in a half day old BETA TEST with FOUR CHARACTERS are not to be taken seriously.
Yeah, best to wait till they become official and patched in to the main game before taking it seriously.


I've seen you make a lot of dumb posts, but dear god this one possibly takes the cake. This is the first opportunity we have been ever been given by NRS to respond/react to their plans for UPCOMING balance changes, this is the BEST time to express your satisfaction or disappointment with the changes if you want or don't want them go through - why the fuck would you wait till they hit the actual game and then wait more months for the POSSIBILITY of them getting reverted IF YOU ARE LUCKY, and then still just being back at square 1 and likely not getting any of the ACTUAL changes the character needs. I just don't understand why someone would make this statement other than to go against the grain trying to feel like a special snowflake.

EDIT: Actually, maybe not. This IS a beta, so they may be using it to test out changes they plan to make to characters and game mechanics in KP2. I doubt all of it will go through...we'll see.

214 being +2 on block is absolutely irrelevant for him though, because if he ever finishes the string on block he will be FBC'ing , so makes no difference, he will be finishing his 214 pressure with the exact same frames there is just a guaranteed gap now though




21 FBC is very different from 214 FBC, he got most his chip and active frames for a Flame aura tick from the final hit, its also a hit to his meter building.

21 FBC 21 will also not beat armour so there is no benefit to this forced changed at all. There is a gap in there and that is the point where everyone will be armor if they decide to armor, 214 FBC 21 is now gapless but it doesn't matter when there is a gap just before it in the string.


It's a relevant nerf to the what the character does and will turn his gameplay down a notch, and the question is, WHY when he was already low tier. Also, having to hitconfirm 21 is going to make him even harder to play, and having spent months perfecting an extremely hard cancel (214xxFBC B12xxFA, the extremely important one for beating pokes) and having it made completely useless, just so that they can nerf him slightly, and now going to have to perfect a new set of cancels... kinda big punch in the dick.

21 is -7 on the non beta version. This means that 214 could work similar to cassie b124 with the gap in between to bait and stagger.

Maybe thats how it will affect Ninjutsu, but it's going to have bigger repercussions on Hellfire. Check the above post yo ;)

Very rarely would you ever use 214 when you are on your final rep or out of stamina for whatever reason, Throw has the same start up and hitbox properties, thats what you finish your pressure with if you read that the high is going to connect. 214 is +2 on block. And takedown is +15 on hit. 214 has a gap before the 4.

MKX Beta is not patched Scorpion jailing run cancels and 214 teleport into 214 enhanced teleport works

Confirmed two flame auras again in combo. Keep in mind that they suspect that Scorpion is just vanilla and is unpatched.

match timer has seemingly been sped up as well By a factor of 2

I mean... First off we have to see the whole patch notes. It might make sense when we see what he got exactly :)

You right, you right. Maybe the 214 fix makes up for I don't know. I'll wait and see, I'm just speaking about what I'm hearing and hopefully someone playing can tell me what he gets to make up for it
