After going to Evo this year, it has been proven, ONCE AGAIN, that PlayStation is incapable of high level tournament play. A number of problems occurred during the event.

During my match against Tom Brady in Losers, I had the first match won. however, at the end of the match, a glitch occurred to where the match was still going on, but both of us were unable to move our characters for about 10 seconds. So we had to restart the match and I lost and got eliminated from the tournament...

Now I haven't traveled to a Major tournament in nearly two years and I feel completely cheated. I traveled all the way to Vegas just to lose to the console.

Another issue that happened was during the desync process. Myself, other players, and the T.Os can confirm that certain players properly disconnected the blue tooth devices, yet when controller still got accident my turned on, they synced right back up to the same PS4 and cause the guide to pop up in the middle of matches.....

I know a lot of people will say NO based only on the fact that they prefer the PS4 controller over the Xbox One, but please think about the fighting standard. Don't you want to compete under the best condititions possible?

If you go to tournaments, please vote AND comment.

Did people clear the cache of all bluetooth devices before each match? Because if people still aren't doing that then I dont know what to say. You HAVE to clear the cache or else the station will lag and controllers WILL reconnect.

As far as the first glitch I have no idea, but I've never heard of that happening before.

If the issues your putting forth are that severe, Its worth discussing. A quick search through Freestep doesn't show any threads like this and LastRound has been on PS4 way longer as far as I know without major hiccups

I saw KI have some issues as well on XB1.

While I prefer the Xbox controller to PS controller, I'm doubtful it will come to fruition. All fighters, minus KI and Smash, are on Playstation so I suppose it's just standard to use it for the majority of tournaments.

Perhaps instead of negating the PS4, maybe they should instead focus on a better policy for when things like that occur. For instance, they should have awarded you that match since it was over--if a match has been finished, a glitch after the fact shouldn't matter or force a redo.

Now if something pops up DURING a match, then obviously it should just be a redo. That's only fair IMO.

On a random note, doesn't ESL use XB1 version?

As a TO who has run events on both these systems at my arcade I am afraid that neither is great. The XBone at least doesn't have the weird input lag or manually desyncing controllers, but this whole generation of consoles sucks for TO-ing. Enormous constant patches, always online connectivity, having to sign into accounts. Sure this was on the 360, but it's five times worse now.

Give me an SNES any day. Plug it in, put in a controller, play a game.

I was playing in casuals with Viking 305 and just randomly both of our controllers turned off but my character kept jumping forwards.

It's hard to say if it's the game or the console.

I thought EVO the batteries had to be removed, why was this an issue with it connecting to a different system? PS4 noob, I honestly don't know the answer...the Bluetooth?

Removing the batteries does nothing. It's a wireless connection, batteries or not.

I've had the glitch the TC is talking about happen multiple times to me. Both characters just stop moving, or they keep doing the last input you made, and they won't accept another new input for a few seconds.

Never EVER have I had this problem on my Xbox one. Unless of course I'm playing wirelessly and my controller is extremely low on battery. With USB wired never had problems.

I lost. And I'm so salty right now! So...

As The player leaving the console you cannot fully disconnect your own controller. You can the other person but not your own. It is up to the next person getting on to do it. The console forces you to have one controller controller "Connected" To the PS4. The best solution is for each station to have a TO have a controller on stand by to delete the controllers the previous players used. It does not take that long to delete the previous controller. It takes longer doing these 5 minute Button checks. :p. As for the game freezing i have never seen that happen. And i have had long sets with my PS4 on all day. Idk what happened.
