That's fine then, All we lost was a guarenteed 50/50 from something we kinda didn't deserve it from haha.
Agreed. Readjusting the muscle memory for the b1s/112s don't seem too bad either, since the finger coordination after pressing forward twice + 2 is something that won't be affected.

Might just be the fact I haven't played D'Vorah in a few weeks but that f112 xx WGC seems much tighter now to actually jail the opponent. I nailed it against Cassie's power flip reversal maybe 4/10 times (as opposed to 9/10 in recent weeks...).

Does B1 WGC still combo? Are the links much harder?
5GB will take a whole day to download with my connection :(
Yes it does! Doesn't feel any harder once you get used to holding 1 for a little bit longer.

Also, even with the changes, b1 and f22 wcs are STILL SAFE on block!!!

Just downloaded the patch

F112 wc is still +, d1 beats out Cassie's 6 frame flip so I'm guessing with the changes, when done perfectly, you're around +11

B1 and 112 wcs still work just fine
how fast is her d1

if it's like 8f that measurement just means that it's at least +3

Yup, everything is pretty much the same(except for f22 wc f11 rip! I hardly ever used that until a few days ago tbh so it's meh, but I still may be wrong on that one), just slightly different timings.

Well assuming f112 was previously +16, they took 2 frames away making it +14, and now you have to hold the wasp grenade for 3 frames so you lose another 3 there = +11. I don't know if it works like that or not, I'm not very good with this stuff, but if it does then yeah

For a second a I was really worried, thank God. I wonder what's happening in Kitana's forum right now.

I don't get why they are trying to make her Bug Cancels more difficult though? They already required a lot of practice to get consistent. Figured they'd make those aspects easier... I just don't get their patching methods, even the last patch confused me.

As for f112 blockstring, more and more players were eating the final hit more often as a way to get out of pressure anyway, the guaranteed 50/50 into max damage after was very difficult to do consistently (without a Hitbox at least).

I guess we can chill till the next set of nerfs. Have a feeling NRS wont stop until she's either impractical to play or straight shitty.

They took the most technical character in the game and made it more difficult to execute her stuff. 112 bug cancel 212 isn't reliable to punish things and b1 bug cancel 212 isn't reliable either. Her pressure took a hard hit. If you think this patch didn't really affect her, I disagree entirely.

I don't feel that way(edit: do agree SQ is the most technical character though). With b1s and 112s, I was already instantly canceling the runs into 2 on top of sliding my tumb, so the link isn't very different for me aside from holding 1 just a tad bit longer. Once I get used to that, it'll be back to normal.

Sucks that it happened so close to CEO though.

I picked up dvorah a week ago, had kitana as a main since day one with mileena as a alt. Oh how the times have changed .....

Sighs dvorah was becoming honestly still is my favorite to play with in the game now. This hurts :/ felt rewarding doing good with dvorah

This is the problem. Now you have to input a perfect run cancel on top of waiting the exact moment you are allowed to run. I'm thinking in terms of practicality. WC drops will be far more common now just because of that small moment you have to wait.

This nerf isn't all sunshine and daisies, I think they really fucked us over.

And look at it from the perspective of people with execution maybe not as tight as you or myself. There were players legit struggling to get b1 wc and 112 wc in Training, let alone match conditions, let alone tournament conditions...

I think it's kinda fucked up. They are trying to nerf her pressure but in turn are just making her less approachable. I can already tell 112 wc is gonna be a bitch to get back to consistent levels.

I don't want to be a dick but have you even tried using those strings and cancels in tournament play? b2 and 112 cancels are so tight and the added pressure of being in a tournament will most likely result in a drop as well as factoring monitor/input lag and all.

I'm one of those players who couldn't get the B1 cancel down at ALL. Maybe cus I haven't been using her since day 1 but she was by NO MEANS easy to master .. this sucks

Isn't the 3 frames really going to effect you on block? Now they recover faster before you backdash or run cancel into block. If they are quick enough can't they catch you trying to escape. I don't have the patch so I can't test if on block, people can punish you back dashing.

She can still do almost everything she did before. Only things she loses are the f112 block string which was getting exposed by lots of people anyway, and if I'm correct no more f22 wc f11 combos. Not a huge blow once everyone's muscle memory adapts tbh. I still expect HoneyBee, Ducky, and Krayzie to win lots of stuff with her. She also can't run as far off an f22 wc which will hurt for a little while, but can be fixed with adjusted spacing.

This also gives us more reason to play a heavy footies style with her, catching people with mutilple d4s so you can hit an f22 from neutral for example. I like that.

That is true, it does suck for them. I'm sorry for those of you who were already struggling, this is definitely a blow for you, but keep at it and you'll have it down eventually!

To be honest, this change makes my b1s on the right side feel smoother because of how I tend to input the run on that side.

Yeah my first 2 big tournaments were TCW(oh my gosh I was so nervous there I almost puked lol) and ECT. I have realllllllllly bad tournament jitters, I've even missed a 212 xx db1 in tournament play, but its been getting better. At ECT, the few rounds I was able to stop my hands from trembling, I hit every b1 and 112.

I tested f22 and b1. Backdash is unsafe against chars like reptile and sub with really fast slides, but even against them if you cancel into run and immediately block you're 100% safe.

Now I'm panicking. Why is this patch 5GB, what did they add to MKX a new fuc*ing game?
