When you say block string gaps are gone does that mean the combo cannot be armoured through as well?Great to hear the blockstring gaps are gone... That was a big scare!
Having trouble against jumpers? Kitana j2 is 4 frames and can be done on reaction. You can cancel straight into AF or run cancel to combo.

In Mournful her glaives hit mid and have good recovery.Jingu Kitana made me want to play Kitana
so what do i get from each variation and why should I play mournful (which IMO looks the coolest)

f2~qcf+1+2+3~u4 and b14~qcf+1+2+3
Either they block and she does the blockstring normally or it hits and the f2 or b14 cancels to EX Fan for a 40%+ combo.
Midscreen after EX Fan hits, d1~Fan, Run~u2~AF, dash, f4~Lift, NJP, f4~TS (40%) *you can do JK~AF after d1~Fan sometimes, not sure if it is hitbox or timing relatedNice find!
Mind if I ask what the 40% EX Fan combo is? If it's listed here already, I must have overlooked/forgotten it.
Kitana herself can punish on reaction to her not throwing a fan after float with 21~Fan/Lift. If she throws the fan, you can walk forward after ducking it and get a full punish with standing 1.I've found that f2,2,u4,db2 is pretty safe on block. Asked a friend to try to punish her with mileena and he couldn't do it. Haven't meassured yet how safe it really is, but droping down with njp off the AF seems a nice way to punish attempts of punishing.
That, added to f2,2 being hit-confirmable into lift makes the f2,2 string kind of viable...
There is no point limiting yourself to any single variation of a character though! Try stuff! Moving this here so we don't clutter the bnb thread with chatter.XD yeah, I started out with assassin but all the combos made for rs and the bounce back won me over
