Brawler (6-4) kitana's favor
- Cassie's only decent tool is b1
- gun shots lose in trades with fans
- Cassie actually needs to get in and lacks the necessary tools to do so making it in kitana's favor
- cassie's go to reversal is actually bad in this mu since it gives kitana the space she needs(i.e flip)
- cassie needs to get in to win this and kitana's keep out is extremely strong
- By the time cassie actually gets in kitana will already have enough meter for a breaker or armor
- Parry is also strong against bad stagger pressure
If Cassie's only decent tool is B1, Kitana has no decent tool at all. Sure Cassie is forced to get in (poor Brawler), but she can just walk and duck, taking no damage. At jump range she must block some fans or some normals from Kitana, but that's just less than 10% chip. Then she's in. All Kitana's armor is risky, if talking about risking something to get reward, remember Cassie has ex BF4 to full combo punish a fan throw from a jump range. All Cassie's combos ended with BF2 allow her to start the oki game, she got a 50/50 that breaks armors on knockdown.
Stagger pressure includes doing d3/d4. She's not Johnny who 11, 11, 11 into F2/F3 all day. She does strings that leave her at 0 or +1 on block, then wins your pokes. Her 8 frame d4 has hella range and her d3 is 7 frame. What does Kitana have to compete pokes with her? B124 is the only string punished (interrupted) by parry, but she can just bait with B12 block, B1 into d4. If you get hit by her d3/d4 then she will pull off the Brawler mixup, which has like 20 possibilities from her 8 popular strings. Her parry is not good at all against Cassie. DF1 is also a footsie tool that has hella range. Sure Kitana has strong keep out tool, but once Cassie corners Kitana she's helpless.
