Mortal Kombat beta (Sega CD)

Has anyone ever seen this? I call it a beta, but it feels more like another pre-production sample. I cross referenced the file dates with the final versions of all three regions and they're all the same, so I don't know what's different exactly, if anything. I've released a disc image over at ASSEMblergames.com.

Update: A CRC comparison confirms that this is NOT a beta as I was told, but exactly the same as the retail version. Bummer.
