The only thing that kept Absolute Battle from being considered a Major is more out of state top players traveling. If Hayatei Sonic and Dragon traveled to Absolute Battle it would have a strong case to be considered a Major in comparison to other tournaments as of late. The texas boys are all strong players, but they don't travel enough other than Scar. Coosco Alex Ominous and Korey all are strong enough to get top 8 at Majors. I'd even argue people drowned in pools that would make it out at other regionals maybe even majors. For example: Did you know 2ez barely escaped drowning in pools at Absolute Battle? It came down to game 5 and last round. Not only that it was last hit. The jax player tried ground pound, but 2ez's teleport hit just before his ground pound would've and won. This is irrelevant I just wish that set was streamed because it was hype as fuk. It's a shame how not all top players can travel and they're not considered to be top players because they don't travel.I think a lot of props should maybe just come down to who you played, in the end, because yeah I guess people will never settle on what event is what. Some people probably think only EVO is a major.
Like for example, Absolute Battle was a regional, but @Rude was kept from getting out of pools by 2ez who is good enough to get top 8 at majors. It's not like he was kept down by regional players.
Edit: The point is those Regional players are better than what you're expecting from regional players. Hell even at MSC (Which was more local in numbers lol) had a local guy send 2ez to losers.
Strong texas boys: Starcharger Coosco GnarlyGatoAlex Koreythedragon Ominous ILL Stylez(finished 9th at AB7 and it was his first showing) Scar KH Royal, Malo(Finished 9th lost to Korey 3-2 and beat starcharger only for starcharger to run it back in losers finals)
