You aren't playing the matchup as well as you may think.
Reptile can only cross the screen after blocking a projectile from Noob, or jumping, in which Noob can still AA him anyway with a timed tackle. And even if he tries to dash in after that, unless he is in punish range, he will HAVE to jump the next clone to do anything. Tackle also forces Reptile to be wary of them in footsies because they are very fast. Yes, I can dash you if I block them, but the problem is is that I have to block it. This opens up your normals a lot more, and if I start to disrespect, you can begin tackling to get me back to it.
Doing a little bit of estimates, Noob doing clone from close to dash whiff range will be around -10 to -13. Back-to-back dashes, at the most optimal timing, will be no faster than 26 frames for the second dash to even hit. Tackle comes out in 11 frames. So, at the worst here, tackle will ALWAYS win even then, and will also beat out any normal Reptile will attempt to throw out. You can always walk backwards if he jumps and uppercut, or NJP him.
In answer to this, prior to the patch that buffed Noob's teleport, I began sitting at a decent enough range to safely get a forceball on screen and nail you for a combo were you to ever do back-to-back clones. You would have to teleport a frame earlier than I forceball to even get any advantage of the scenario, and I would be able to dash you for attempting anything not d1 or d3. After the patch, you now are CAPABLE of punishing my forceballs on reaction with teleport, so I totally lost the ability to use this unless I am guessing for tackle and I guess right.
Reptile's pressure isn't that amazing anyway, unless he has an EX forceball on screen. EX dash is a waste of meter if the opponent actually has reactions. You can either jumpkick out, or d3. Reptile's oki offense is the only strong part about his offense, but that's only because it allows Reptile to get back in your face safely from any knockdown he has.
Noob may not have that much damage, but what he does well vs Reptile is this:
-Can reaction teleport punish forceballs
-Reptile cannot duck-dash projectiles
-Noob has an uncrouchable projectile
These are three things that seriously mess with Reptile, because you make Reptile have to guess a good deal more to get close, as those are his tickets in. Reptile's damage is definitely better than Noob's, but you aren't losing half-life for getting hit by him, and Reptile actually is one of the characters that is very weak to black hole resets.
3-7 indicates that your strengths are totally shut down by Reptile simply playing as normal. That is not the case. Noob has things that eliminates some strategies within Reptile's game, and can even capitalize on some issues Reptile has in dealing with some of your options. It's very much an even matchup...neither one is a clear dominant of the matchup, not like Reptile used to be. Patches and having frame data available put a stop to that.
