Smoke forums are dead anyway, the character is nearly dead lol but come on Mr 16 bit downplays a character that is far superior than Smoke. the MU isn't even bad for kitana it's dead even and once kitty gets momentum it's all over....ask Wafflez

Man, all this talk about how the best characters in game are not good enough, downplay, and other shit is so funny to me, considering that I play Kano. You think Kung Lao has problems ? LOL. Do you see guys like SomeCubanGuy or BlackBryan whine about how unfair is the entire cast against their characters ? Surely, it bothers a lot, but that kind of shit coming from guys who play Kung Lao or Smoke ? With some retarded shit like 6 frame spin or insanely fast overhead that leads to a fucking combo ? I swear If I ever saw a guy who fucking complained about Cyrax not being broken enough I would hit him with a crowbar.

You mean banned for saying the truth???? Smoke is balanced in a broken game leaving him not viable. You see great KLs at tournaments consistently. There are 3 good smokes and they have to hope KL, Kabal, Cage, or Sonya isn't there or they will get regulated. Your character is at least 6 positions better than Smoke. Smoke is either dropped (cdjr), the player retires (kt smith and finally seeing smoke is only so good), or people don't bother to pick him cause of his terrible defense (MIT)

Resets make him top 12. Resets on your character or the other top tier characters and they are automatically top 2

You just said b+2 is easy to see coming. b+2 is a 15 frame overhead that leads to round critical damage. If your b+2 is easy to see coming it's a problem with you.

I like how Smoke's difficult MU are like Reptile now. Automatic loses. If you have Johnny in your pool you're done and there's no hope. OR you could do what the consistent top 8 characters do and actually outplay someone.

CSZ is good though! I mean when Sonya and KL are so bad CSZ just moves up in the world! Goddammit I hate his 33 and 34 mixups its so hard to block! And his freeze ball freezes me in place when I get hit by it! Wtf is up with that? He's got dumb bombs that force me to move around and sometimes they even freeze me! Oh yea, he has a dive kick = insta top tier. It does 9%...HOLY SHIT! #birdcsz.

What does "get momentum" even mean? Smoke has great tools for stopping her offense. This talking point that once someone is like at sweep distance Smoke is just done and should put down the controller is ridiculous and you all should be banned.

B2 is overrated. It's easy to see coming man, 15 frames is slow and you never have a reason to block low on Smoke. Think about this, what does Smoke attack with???? Random SB and b2...2 is a joke unless for anti air and his other strings are so slow. So you have a character that can only throw a projectile that doesn't chip and a overhead that you can bait and jump over. Cdjr won with grabs when he played Smoke. Cdjr is just that good and knew grabbing was the only other mix up. Not only is smokes offense limited as hell....his defense doesn't even exist. Cage beats smoke free, especially in tournaments. It's hard to outplay when your character can only do so much. Smoke resembles a punching bag.

No, matchup charts determine all tournament match results. If you are up against a character you go 4-6 with you automatically lose. No one can actually out play anyone ever. (Or at least that is what you would think by reading TYM character forums and matchup discussions) people make 4-6 (slight disadvantage) seem like an 0-10 unwinnable matchup when they discuss it on this site.

Bit, are you referring to d3 smoke away I assume?

You have to be damn sure that you time your d3 right if you are using that to get away from cage or you will get blown up. I assume Tommy is really good at it from playing with dizzy so much but (granted I suck compared to Tommy) I find d3 smoke away very difficult and risky vs cage
