Metzos I am not doing a match up chart with zaf for one reason. I passionately hate match up charts. I dont pay attention to them because I feel like they are pointless. Everyone has their own opinions on match ups, and its very tough for everyone to come to an agreement. I've been known to "downplay" Ermac (I call it being a realist), so I have a very different view on a lot of these numbers than from how other Ermac players see it.

Same here, but the Ermac forum needed to have a MU chart, as accurate as it can be, plus i believe that is the closest one there can be atm, since the majority of the top players agreed with my numbers after hours of conversations. "Downplaying" Ermac ? Thats a new. The reason these numbers are like that is because i have spent countless hours of testing and discussing to get these results. I call it awakening not being realistic.

can someone explain the cyber-sub MU for me? i almost feel it has to be 7-3 in ermac's favor. i see the moves and have played a couple cyber-subs and it seems he cant get in while ermac uses TKP and teleport is punished on reaction with d1~TKS.

yea cyber subs upclose pressure is nothing to be trifled with. found this out the other day, really surprised me.

yea man sonya is frustrating i agree, just played a game and ex cartwheel was blowing me up lol

Ermac can not handle Sonya pressure, with him having no armor hes forced to poke/jump out wich Sonya can blow up pretty easy

This is Ermac's toughest MU IMO. Your zoning must be on extreme point. I'll say 4-6 Sonya. Resuming the whole MU in:

WHO THE FUCK MADE CARTWHEEL SAFE ON BLOCK?

Try to keep her meter in check. Without it you can erase her wakeup game, F4 beats wake-up wheel, arc kick and projectile i think.

I feel its like 4-6 but wouldn't argue against it being 7-3. I really don't mind the match up and played/practised it enough to the point that it feels like a 5-5 to me
yea i feel i need experience, glad to hear you conquered it. i might hit up some sonyas on tym for help.

This. Showtime, if you play the MU patiently its an even MU. Both characters cannot afford doing any mistakes, simply cause Ermac is a very dangerous punisher and Sonya has really good pressure. 7-3 would mean that Ermac has almost nothing against her, which is false. Plus Sonya needs meter for EX cartwheels AND breaker. Ermac needs meter only for breaker. One wrong move from Sonya's behalf and 40% of her life is gone, plus Ermac has teleport to counter her projectiles, or he can simply dash d3 them. Dont get me wrong Sonya is a beast of a character but that doesnt make the Ermac - Sonya MU 7-3. 6-4 Sonya ? Perhaps, but still that still remains to be seen. zaf proved me right when he played Death. He might have lost but still from what i ve heard Death was pushed to his limit.

You would have to be a Jedi to land a teleport against her rings. There is no reacting to them to be able to get it in time.

I m speaking in terms of MU discussion, which means i was stating that he has the tool to stop her from using them often when she is at full screen.

Yea man i almost beat death. A few mistakes here and there, and i would of 2-0'd him. But he won, so i give it to him.

It will never happen on reaction, I will give you that. But if you read it, then yes you can teleport on her.
If you know a sonya player likes to shoot 2 rings then dash or someting, you can make a read then and use teleport.
But Like I said, if you are doing it on reaction, then you will get punished.

I still feel 5-5 with scorpion only because I have not played a scorpion.

As for rain, ermac beats rain. 6-4
I play with 2-3 local rains and i beat all of them and i feel they are the ones who always have to work harder
There is nothing rain can do to get in. He has armor, but that has to be used on a read. You mess up with your meter and you now have no breaker, no armor and you lost ex-fireball which makes you take my meter. I simply just keep a safe distance from rain and keep a life lead.
His standing 4 is great, but the range is what kills him in this MU, Its the same range as his d4. Rain has to take risks to win in this MU. If rain tries to play footsies too much with ermac, ermac can just tks him. SO rain can not be shooting out normals.
