I've been thinking about this for awhile and how amazing it would be. Releasing either Mortal Kombat Trilogy (MKT) or Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (UMK3) with MK11.
They did something similar to this with I believe MKA and had UMK3 with it. But the port wasn't very good.
What got me thinking about this is how successful CoD4 Modern Warfare Remastered (MWR) was when bundled with the new CoD Infinite Warfare.
What they could do is have a standard version of MK11 for $60 with no bundle (Like how they did with CoD). The bundle with either MKT or UMK3 would be either $70 or $80. Then there would be the more expensive versions with the season packs. After about 6 months of release, they could release UMK3/MKT as a standalone if possible.
This would be great for all these new and young players who never got to experience the classic 2D MK games and the games that were the largest competitively until MK9 dropped. Either porting or remastering shouldn't cost too much and they would easily profit off of this.
I've mentioned this here and there and I've seen/heard nothing but positive feedback. And the thing is that if you couldn't care less about it you wouldn't be forced to buy it. MKT specifically never got a re release and was never available to be played online aside from a crappy emulator.
How does everyone feel about this? Would you be up for it or do you think it's a dumb idea? All feedback is appreciated!
This also would be a great way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of MK, and the 22nd anniversary of UMK3!
