Go ahead , I'm open to anything
Awesome, I agree with everything you said so far. I find this MU very interesting to say the least and is one of my personal favorites to play, against great Harleys of course. I find that this MU is very momentum-based and that at any part of the screen this can be clutched by either character.
I found that if I got the first hit I controlled Harleys every movement.
Close quarters, in summary, there's more layers that I'm hoping you add in after reading this! At D2's maximum range, Joker can use teeth cancels and crowbar cancels to get in her face. She can't jump mindlessly because jokers d2 can anti-air pretty easily with anticipation. Her normals can't really compete with his D2 range, if at max range, so her approach needs to be more calculated. On the flip side joker has to watch her every move and be careful not to let her jump in or get in her b2 range, which I think his her best tool in this MU. Joker can't punish this unless he anticipates it and jumps in as she throws it out. Again, there's more layers to it, but that will come later in the conversation I hope!
Far screen. Harleys gunshots are for sure faster then jokers and the fear of her mb gunshot can keep joker in check... for like 5 seconds maybe lol. Jokers gunshot may not be as fast but definitely hits harder making it easy advantageous trade for joker. What makes Harleys zoning even with joker imo is her hyenas and cupcakes. Using cupcakes without the support of hyenas is dangerous business. If joker reads that he can mb gunshot, interrupt her cupcake and get roughly 18% of her health in doing so or he can mb in her face. But hyena makes joker eat that mb cupcake and it's heavy chip damage with her being able to follow up gunshot. Again, to me the zone game is even.
Now the corner:
Delay wake ups really hurt joker in this game. But Harleys wake ups can be stuffed but certain moves if timed right or neutral jumped forcing her to block whatever's coming. On the flip side, harley has some nasty corner setups that joker has to respect as well, delayed wake up or not. Of course, pushblock is effective but that puts them at a neutral.
This is a summary, all my opinion based on my experience. I'm curious to hear what you got to share!
