Since the general issue people have been having about Sektor is his gaps, I'm working on a figuring out all of the reversals that work against his gaps, the startup frames, and if there's a mind game there. Stay tuned lol.

F4(3) Duck the 3 full combo punish.. F212bb armor the last hit.. You have to commit on these moves because if you stop the string early or special cancel them you could still get full combo punished because you're very negative.. There is a mind game in the 11(4) and the 111(2) because the entire string is safe so if you don't commit you can block any armored moved..

I've been harassing people with strings into up rocket pressure and grab mix-ups lately, so I decided to see what you can do about it. So far it seems that backdashing is the best option. If you backdash correctly after whatever string Sektor does then you can avoid both the tracking rockets and the up close rockets. Only the far version can hit you but you have more than enough time to block, and the backdash gives you some much needed room.
I can't imagine many Sektor players cancelling strings into far away rockets anyway because it leaves you wide open for a punish, but I guess it's an option if your backdashing out of missile pressure becomes predictable.

So yeah, backdashing appears to be the safest way to avoid up rocket pressure and create space if you're mid screen. If anyone has found a better way to avoid it then let me know.

I'll try that. I had the AI on record as Sektor, doing random strings into the various types of up rockets. I wanted to test out for myself when exactly to backdash, because the tracking up rockets track differently based on when you do it.

I thought about that too but it doesn't work. The up rockets are too slow and can be backdashed on reaction, so there's no need to worry about EX bf1. Simply hold block if you're afraid of EX bf1. You can see the up rockets happen so there's no need to guess what special Sektor will end the string with, just hold block and if you see the rockets then backdash.

1,1,1,2 and f212bb have gaps and it is more than a little issue.. All of his + strings have gaps except 2,1 and he has no safe specials to cancel into..

Alright yeah that sounds like more of a problem.

I've been ending my combos in 21 up rocket and the rockets are hitting meaty but most of the time not breaking armor. I think this is probably the best way to end your bnbs right now

Rockets don't break armour. When they land on armoured moves they only hit once. It would be completely broken if they broke armour like that lol.

On the topic of breaking armour with up rockets, don't try it. The general idea would usually be to land a knockdown, use up rockets, and then time a normal or string to break the armoured wake-up but it doesn't work. I tested it vs Lao at first with his 7 frame spin and then I tested it vs Erron Black's EX sand throw which is 18 frames. Sektor can't get anything out fast enough after he recovers from the rockets which means you will get punished for trying. If you just block after the rockets then you're safe and you can bait a wake-up attack, but trying to beat it out won't work.

Does the 2nd combo work? You ran in and did f212 bb twice. I think that would deplete your stamina for the 2nd f212bb

1112 into Up Rockets is the best combo ender midscreen and in the corner. Im pretty sure its safe vs every wakeup in the game (tested on Lao EX Spin in corner. Video on previous page). Techrolling just makes their wakeup take even longer and delay wakeup garuntees free pressure as they no longer have access to wakeup.

Haven't labbed Sektor enough to figure our which strings have gaps in them, could you tell me which ones? I imagine the gaps are there to prevent you from just throwing strings out there without much risk to it.

Just about all his plus strings. 114,f43, i think 21()2? Im not sure about that one

So B1 into EX straight rocket as well as some other normals (b2 at least) jail sometimes and sometimes not. But if they armor the popup you get is a lot lower so it's quite hard to land a tele after.

So I was labbing with @Generalbit And found that sektor has a block string option with ex Air slam. Lao can punish and Reptile can ex dash under it. But here others in the cast have to deal with the option.

Obviously in this video I'm saying it's a glitch but it's not. I think it has to do with the hit counter or height that effects f212bb

So, I' ve been ending combos in njp splats for because it outlasts delayed getups . It grants a free up missile and is safe against Reptile's ex slide. I only lose about 2 -3%. It kind of puts you in a sweet spot between the F21 ender and 1112 ender. Might be valuable againts certain players .

Blah blah here's some setup stuff. The run in 212 is legit. The 50/50 is kinda risky but if you have the bar you can make it safe-ish

Yup, I use 114~UM to end my combos. Safest option.

Here's what I have been doing with Sektor. My combo into mixup. 38% first combo then 33% off missiles. 71% if you hit it all and it ends with a second missle mixup.
