This knocks the opponent down right next to you. So you can go into your 50/50 or oki options.

After tinkering with the new portal, it adds some meaty damage as an ender.

B324, NJP, B2 - DB1b EX, RC - B2 - BF3, backdash, JIP - F212 - DF1 (41% Damage)

I'm going to mess around more with it tonight.

B2, EX Rune, fj2, b2, trance, backdash, fj2, f2122, ex stab. 36% leaves in 5050. You can add a jp in before the b2 to start the combo and you'll end with 38%

So is scoop useful as pressure/combo starter over EX rune? Is scoop a hard knockdown? Any useful tech after scoop? I'm on PC so god knows when I'm getting the patch.

Scoop is not good for pressure. It is a hard knockdown. The Portal Scoop is actually the same move (1+3) from the 1, 2, 1+3 string. It is a low starter. I find it useful for escaping the corner because I believe the mb scoop provides armor.

Anything on wakeup is better than ex-sky drop. Do we have the patch yet on X1? I seriously want to try this stuff out, summoner never appealed to me as much as warlock and I've heard this makes the variation more viable in general.

also, its just a step, but I always think do what you know you can hit every time, so if someone is better using b2, then do that.

I mean, I hate the Raiden charge cancel, I can't hit it 100% of the time or even close, so I use what I can land.
