The Sisterhood: Girl Power Pledge

Is D'Vorah the only female to have won a tournament so far? I've seen Cassies and Sonya's get close, but eventually fall out. Are Kitana and Mileena totally not reliable for play? (was gonna say viable but didn't wanna use that word) Is Jacqui on a rope due to her D2 and other disadvantages? Will Tanya be the first breakthrough to win a tourney? She has plenty of options to use. These things concern me.

Jacqui is viable. She only just got her fixes. High Tech could use some buffs (please faster quick burst NRS!) but full auto definitely has the tools to win. It's just you might as well pick another character that's easier to win with. I'ma put in more work with her and we'll see what happens.

In terms of viable females, we have Cassie, Sonya, D'Vorah, Jacqui and (at least in my opinion) Tanya. I have a feeling we could see any of those take a tournament without the need for side characters.

So Kitana and Mileena are really kaputs? lol. Yeah, I feel you on the MU High Tech thing.

I like the concept but I don't know it I s a little dramatic tbh even though I've always only used female characters #tanyadragonnaginata

Do not worry too much about Kitana. Regardless of her place on the tier list there will always be good players representing her because she's such an iconic character.
Kitana is very good if you know how to play with but people don't ever try her because players keep calling her low tier and horrible

Yes, that is a good list of mains. Especially in SF and Calibur. Welcome.

Despite being a real life feminist, I have had a life-changing realization that I don't play females in fighting games (other than Sarah in Virtua Fighter because I was a kid and thought she was pretty).

MKX was a true revelation for me in that regard as after spending hours in practice mode with Kung Lao, Scorpion, Sub, Kenshi, Johnny, Takeda, Kung Jin and Goro, I realized that I had no interest in learning any of the female characters (despite D'Vorah being admittedly cool and Cassie having the best personality in the game).

At first, this irked me as it betrayed my principles and beliefs in gender equality, but that feeling quickly disappeared once I realized how much cooler a Shaolin with a razor hat, a blind swordsman, a four armed half man/half dragon, and an undead ninja are compared to a bunch of chicks trying to survive in a man's world. In fact, the only time I bothered learning a female character recently was years ago in MK9 with Kitana and Sonya since they bopped my main and I had to learn the match-up. In a way, I used them, which is how women are supposed to be treated in fighting games.

Acceptance pls.
Welcome to the sisterhood!

CEO is this weekend. Almost 300 players. How many girl character specialists will be there? I know KP will be representing Kitana as always. The two D'Vorah's Ducky and Honeybee will be there. I'm assuming Saltface will be there playing Mileena. Let's hope for proper female representation in the top 8!

New patch female character report:

D'Vorah - moderate nerf
Cassie - minor buff
Ferra/Torr - slight buff
Kitana - considerable buff
Mileea - moderate buff
Sonya - slight nerf, slight buff
Tanya - moderate nerf

overall: I think D'Vorah and Tanya are still strong characters so Kitana's changes definitely make this a positive update for the ladies of MK.
