How is Quan Chi after these hypothetical changes?

I disagree with this, there's no problem with a 1 bar launcher being plus on block as long as the character is balanced around it, which Quan was. If you were talking about armored launching reversals like Crystalline Tremor has then I'd agree, but in this case it makes no sense with all the characters in the game who are super plus with fireball run cancels after strings that they can hit confirm into combos for no meter at all. Warlock was balanced before with his plus on block launcher, and Sorcerer and Summoner weren't far from being balanced with it too. Quan's MB rune should've been left alone aside from maybe an added gap between them, just like Shinnok's +14 MB hellsparks.

Lol blame nrs for the nerfs, not the players. MOST people really only complained about summoners near unblockable setups and ridiculously high damage that ended in another bat set up. People asked for an adjustment to the bat to give them a chance to block. Ive never really seen people complain about ex rune or the trance though.

The people dropping him are not real quan mains anyway. All of the top tiers are going to receive nerfs,all we gotta do is work around them. The mediocre quan players will drop him while the true mains will find more ways to get around the nerfs if they are all true.
Nailed it. The double bat setups doing 50% off a touch and being set up perfectly to get another 30-50 touch not including arguably the best zoning in MKX and the nearly unblockable setups with the low bat. I hate fighting Quan as much as the next guy but the only thing that needed any fixing was his bat summoning properties. Changes beyond that only hurt the other two variations due to over correcting. The trance wasn't the problem it was summoning the bat over and over again in combos he could end with a guarenteed bat and do ridiculous damage. Sure ex runes were annoying to deal with, but they weren't what made him annoying. Sometimes it's not your turn to press buttons. But once it is your turn against Quan he's got a piss poor armored move and a block button. Those are his options so all that needs fixing is his bat by way of longer start up on summon or it being a mid on the low bat.
