Again. imo TOs should know this but imo its a class in showing any TO get a signed contract
I'll tell you this much, when I arranged my tourny and got a sponsored prize pot, there was no contract, it was a trust thing (good relationship, but still). Every party had a job to do and everyone kept their word. Seeing this situation now, people should be more aware of this risk and always be safe. That's why it's good to see this explanation.
I find it very sad that it has come to this. He obviously wanted to make a change to the FGC and this is what he got. Just shows you how one (simple) thing can mess everything up.
I just hope people don't get discouraged by this and are not afraid to make their own thing and start something. Be more careful, set the priorities right and you should be good!
