Perfect Legend Offers Lessons for Injustice: Gods Among Us!

We have had a few conversations before and if I remember correctly I stated my opinion on something in mk9 and you shit on me for it, but your right. I shouldn't be calling you out like that because I don't know you. Maybe you just had a bad day the time we did talk and didn't mean to take some of it out on me. Question is how can you think I'm cool when I'm a nobody?
you used to always commentate like nec but then you disappeared

I disappeared because of school. I didn't much time to play mk9 because I was focusing on my art work. Since my pracrice time diminished so did my skill and I couldn't keep up with Jr. or Reo, especially with saibot, so I left.

*edit: not like I had much skill to begin with.*

Why is this even a discussion? Not everyone has a scene nor the opportunity to play and/or be around top players. There is a market for this sort of thing it just isn't for everybody. Can't blame the guy for this.

I recommend this 4 casual players who are serious about getting better in injustice and who dont have a scene, i leveled up in mk by playing good players online, training wit my kh crew, reading new strategies and tech on the forums, and watching tourney matches via youtube ect. I plan to do the same with injustice.

You don't mess with ze Bi Han!
I'm assuming in order to make this statement, you have never bought a strategy guide in your life right? Cause this is no different
Yeah sure, paying flesh and bone to play you in a video game is so much like collecting merchandise for a game you love.Ive picked up one guide in my life, and it was final fantasy VII,so that i could frame the thing, about ten years after it released. The fact that you even compare the two made me cough up my cocoa pebbles.Go ahead and pay the man,i was merely stating an opinion.Good day sir.

Yeah, poker just requires a brain, whereas fighting games require reflexes and execution.

As far as which is more difficult to play at a high level, I guess it's tough to compare, but poker is easier for me personally.
I find it kinda weird to compare poker with fightinggames. They both are very difficult to get really good at and i dont mean good as in i win pokergames against my friends.
Reflexes and execution, u need a brain for that too u know.
Ps. Been a proffesional pokerplayer myself since 2006 so i know what im talking about.

Right. I'm saying for poker, you only need a brain. With fighting games, you need a brain, and also some degree of physical skill.

I was responding to someone who claimed that you can't compare fighting games and poker because poker is so much harder, I don't agree with that. I think coaching is beneficial in both.

I think it's a more than fair price, and there's nothing silly about the concept of lessons irt something you spend a serious amount of time on.

I'd consider it if I had more disposable cash + were more mystified as to why I'm so scrubby.

EX Ovi should launch
Brilliant idea PL, hopefully people will take to this with an open mind and not just shit all over it. Anything worth a cash prize is worth getting professionally trained for, and as im sure most people will agree, who better to do that then twice EVO champ!

I think i more appropriate comparison is what the difference between paying for lessons in a Fighting Game or paying for Guitar Lessons?

Its just a matter of wanting to get better at something you enjoy doing.

Additionally, one should keep in mind one important fact: PL never paid anyone for lessons to get as good as he is. In fact, he tends to brag over not having a scene, and still placing high. If he can do it, why can't anyone else?
He can do it because he is extraordinarily talented at fighting games. Why are all QBs not as good as Peyton Manning? Hell, I’ve been playing guitar for over 10 years… why am I not as good as Buckethead?

Some people just have that extra something that takes them from “good” or even “great” to that next level in whatever it is they do. I happen to be a sick database programmer, but sadly that hasn’t helped me win a tournament. So pretty much…

lol people get golf lessons all the time to get better a hobby. 15 dollars is nothing.
…this. I work a lot of hours, life is busy… but I still love fighting games. I just don’t have a lot of play time anymore, or a scene for this game. But if what I do have is disposable income, then spending a trivial amount of money to train with a world champion to maximize the time investment in my hobby doesn’t sound like a bad idea. At least it might be help me from going 0-2 when I go to tournaments.

1. PL is 100% right by doing this. I know most of you fall into the same category BUT, he's a kid--with immense talents. He should utilize his talents like ALL "talented" people usually do.
2. I would rather pay PL $15+ than to stalk out Foxy and Pig for lessons. I rather our games be a legitimate business transaction than for me to waste their time "teaching" me for free. I presume most of you couldn't fathom that concept...
3. For those like myself...1. I'm too old to learn myself 2. $15 doesn't even cover my daily cost of lunch 3. I am far from being a "moron". This opportunity would be perfect for me.
4. I would gladly pay for lessons from Reo, Brady, Foxy and Pig if the opportunity was there. I get zero satisfaction from people helping me without some sort of comparable compensation for them as well.
Well, personally I would think I was being insulting to the community that have helped me so much if I asked them to pay me to 'teach' them to play Injustice.

PL could look at it the same way tbh, without this community, he wouldnt have had so much extra cash in his pocket over the past couple of years.
Injustice is a game, and it WILL die eventually, so why pay to learn it now when it wont be any use in the future? Anyway, you can be told how to play the game by better players all you want, that doesn't mean you're actually gonna become better as a result. The reason top players are top players is because they figure out their own shit.

It also creates a certain heirarchy sort of feeling, and thats something I definitely don't like. Seen it in FPS games before, and it just doesn't help. Pisses me off seeing players either think that theyre too great, or too shit.

Because hes pretentious and just plane rude in person. Yes, he is good, but he is only good in mk9 and doa. He hasn't proven himself in injustice yet. Ever see him play sf? I believe he want like 0-2 at seasons beatings when mk9 first came out. For someone that says he is good at everything he sure does suck at street fighter, lol.

Its mainly just a dumb idea. Who would pay to learn a game they can learn themselves.
I wouldn't say that lol, the time I spent with Perfect Legend he was a sick guy, had a joke about his (gay) music taste and all that, and he gave me the 1 of the best sandwhiches of all time. (At least I thought it was, I was pretty ruined)
I just think that he owes the community, not the other way round.

You're probably going to say, "That's Bullshit", but lets just say I wasn't sober last night when posting here. I read what I wrote and I kind of feel like a prick. Yeah we had a disagreement in the past, but doesn't give the right to say shit like that, although I don't remember posting it in the first place...

Personally, I have learned way more from playing a variety of great players than I ever had from one great player.
