Injustice - Filipino Champ calls out the MK community, "if we played MK none of you would ever win"

That was extremely early in the game's life tho. Floe was playing Ermac then for crying out loud, and it was also pre patch!

If we are going to consider those, then we all have to unanimously agree that Tom Brady is the 100% most consistent player in the scene. (As we should)

A win is a win man. Regardless of how early the game was or what patch, he still won that tournament along with Canada Cup.

Hype, yeah. Money, nope. Participants/Competition, yeah. Fan-base, nope.
We both know which game would make it to EVO, if there was a poll vote between UMVC3 and MK9.

It seems you left out the actual quality of the game. Which, I'm not that big of a fan of MK9, but at least there's not infinites, touches of death, X-Factor, etc.
UMVC3 is as broken as it gets, but that's not the point.
I don't consider Smash Bros. a fighting game, yet it will make it to the evo, because it had more money behind it and more fans as well. And damn, I would even go as far to say that Smash Bros. would win over MK9 in that vote-poll as well.

CD Jr plays multiple, REO plays multiple and is top in every single one of them, PL plays multiple and is top in them, a lot of the top players play multiple fighting games or other games.
I'm not the one who initiated this. Champ is. I'm not talking trash either, I'm speaking objectively. It's a FACT that the Capcom players can't beat MK9 players in MK9, it has been PROVEN. The best of the best, Jwong, ChrisG, have TRIED, and have failed. This is not my opinion.
Wasn't there a salty thread a while ago, where PL said CD jr told everyone he was going to body everyone in SFxT, because he is the master at that game and in the end it didn't really happen?
If that's how it was, then it's a good example.

But you know, just like no one from the Capcom FGC is able to destroy everyone in the MK9 community, the people from the MK9 community can't do jackshit to the Capcom fighting games community.
I think I never even ever read a MK9 name in one of the bigger Capcom game tournaments, while I did read few Capcom names in MK9 tournaments (like for example Chris G and Justin Wong who in fact play A BUNCH of various fighting games and manage to get wins over respected MK9 pro players like 16 Bit).

More, yeah. But REO can and is compared to Daigo and Justin Wong. Just because he doesn't play SF or Marvel doesn't mean he can't be compared to them.
I do think that REO is amazing.
I'm registered on this site since September last year (I even registered before), because of Injustice, but I was watching MK9 streams way before and enjoyed the games, especially REO's, as well PL's and ... my favorite MK9 player Tom Brady, but let's be honest here... REO is neither Daigo and neither Justin Wong and he never will be.

Daigo is a living legend in the fighting community and Justin Wong is a miracle boy, who picks up every fighting game and manages to make a name for himself in that game.
REO is just a guy who is good at MK9 (oh and he also uses the best character in a game that often is heavily based on match ups).

All I see is you waving your pom poms like a delusional fan boy. The fact that you would even suggest that he will probably put more effort than anyone else and imply that he's the only person making "sacrifices" is what is ignorant here. Stop being a cheerleader.
This was quite vulgar.

Really? You're surprised that we're getting hype and firing back to someone calling us trash? And what's even more retarded is that you're saying WE shouldn't be "talking shit" back? What kind of backassward logic is that? He is free to run his mouth but the minute we reply in an equal manner, WE'RE the ones that are out of line?
Oh, he's just trying to hype up the game and community. Oh okay, and we aren't allowed to that. We're taking this to heart and taking it personal. We can't ever be like F.Champ and try to build a competitive and hype atmosphere. Only the Capcom guys can do that. Got it.
You don't seem to know who FilipinoChamp is.
Out of all the Capcom pro players (mainly the americans who concentrate on UMVC3) he is the one who talks the most trash and calls out the most people. It's not unusual for him to come up with stuff like that and you shouldn't take that all too seriously.

But when we have a community like TYM, which should be a respectable community and all of a sudden they start bashing someone like Storms for creating such a thread and start insulting Capcom players like maniacs, then it does look weird.
Because ... what we have now is one trash-talking guy who is known for that and a whole community that is supposed to be awesome trash-talking back in the most retarded way. If you agree with that, then I can't help you.

Damn I hate to say it but he may be right. Those guys have been doing this for a lot longer. But it's always nice to be the underdog. How hyped would it be to have a 5v5 NRS community vs capcom community. Maybe Evo 2014?
Why not EVO 2013? Even if the game won't be there. Just stream it from a hotel room. All those Capcom players will drop the game by 2014 anyway, so let's not wait until then.

In advance: Sorry for the upcoming wall of text. I just summed up ALL of my thoughts on the topic.

1) Tournament-wise UMVC3 stands above MK9 in terms of everything: hype, money, participants, competition, fan-base.
There is no doubt that UMVC3 is superior to MK9 and that the Injustice hype finalls starts attracting more and more people from other communities, which MK9 did not do. And what was neccessary for that? Vast changes to the mechanics in the game.

2) The Capcom pro players already have their focus on certain games, very often on at least 2 or 3, because there is the most money in these games.
I want to see MK9 pro players playing multiple fighting games at the same time and making a name for themselves over and over again. No, they stick to MK9, a game that vastly differs from many other standard fighting games on the market. It's easy for you to talk trash and call other people bad for not being able to own in MK9, while you wouldn't do any better in their games.

3) Capcom games have much more talented players in the community... Let's face it :-7 One does not simply compare himself with Daigo, Infiltration, Justin Wong, Chris G, Combofiend, MarlinPie and so on.
Out of all the Capcom players FilipinoChamp is the one who considers himself as a not very talented person. He said that he has to practice on a daily basis for hours to be able to compete with the others. He sacrifices a lot for UMVC3 and that brought him a win in EVO 2012.
If he picks up Injustice and takes it seriously (which might not happen, because chances are high that he will continue to make more money with UMVC3), then expect him to probably put more effort into the game than any other guy in this community.

4) Ultimately ... It's kinda a shame to see the reactions from the people here. This is now way past saltyness and stuff like that. The stuff that goes on in this thread is sheer stupidity and that's indeed a pity. It's actually something you would expect from SRK's front page, yet we have it now here as well.
The biggest wish from NRS with Injustice is probably to make the game more accessable to other communities. That's also the reason why they try to cover up a lot of options to make it more interesting for other players, so that they would have a game that feels more familiar to the stuff they play (Capcom fighters obviously)
Yet you people question and trash-talk their skills. And it's not a simple calling out right now or something like that, you're calling them bad and insulting them, because they were not able to pick up MK9, a game that is vastly different than everything they played before and that offers less money and less sponsors than the games they usually play.

You all remind me of Nick Diaz. He is a good mixed martial artist. In the ring he can outbox a lot of people, but as soon as they take him down, he starts bitching about MMA being shifted towards wrestling.
It's the same story now. The Capcom players would punch the living crap out of you, but as soon as the fights goes to the ground (I hope you realize how I used that example to also showcase where MK9 stands compared with Capcom fighters), they don't know what to do and you start talking trash, because they don't know how to fight at the ground, yet at the same time, your stand-up is pure garbage.

Injustice will combine the two worlds. The only similarity I personally see in Injustice and MK9 is the combo system, which is not purely based on hit-stuns like basically most of the Capcom fighters.
If Capcom players manage to get past that and pick the game up well, then damn ... expect their talented people to beat your pro players.

Also as a note: I'm not biased towards any community. I'm just hinting out ignorance. No offense.

This is a very ignorant and bias post. You basically just said its OK for him to call out MK players because everything about Capcom players is better and superior. But we are ignorant for firing back or defend ourselves.

Canada Cup 2011, he lost at 2012 and got super super salty at Dink and wouldn't even talk to us after he got babied on stream, he hid behind his boys and glared at us like we was at the school yard. He also salted up at Toryuken. Salty Wongg

Does it matter?
LOL! Please, don't get trolled by a known troll.

In any case, I respect the hunger. Let me see those Evo funny matches!

Besides that, watching the footage, we can tell that he was seriously lacking fundamentals against Dink. Jumping a shit ton, not maximizing damage, crappy reads, etc.

didnt mean he didn't get salty as hell, shit was funny. And hey, Jumping is a legit strat in MK9, until you get consistently AA'd jump away son, jump away.

Cant you guise see this is for positive publicity? Dont take it personally. If you dont like it, level up or shut up. I plan on making Injustice my first competitive fighter and FChamp saying this is getting me hype as fuck. This video should motivate you to do even better.

It's like you didn't even read the thread. A good number of people are hyped up to knock HIM down.

Didn't really want to respond to this because arguments on forums seem to drag on, but I will reply one last time.

Yes, UMVC3 wins in popularity contests, congrats.

UMVC3 is as broken as it gets, but that's not the point.
OOOH, that's not the point. I see.

But you know, just like no one from the Capcom FGC is able to destroy everyone in the MK9 community, the people from the MK9 community can't do jackshit to the Capcom fighting games community.
That's the thing. First of all, I never have heard anyone claim that the only reason Capcom players are winning their games is because the REAL players aren't playing their games. Secondly, what top MK9 player is actively trying to do "jackshit" in the Capcom games outside of Jr with SFxT?

I think I never even ever read a MK9 name in one of the bigger Capcom game tournaments, while I did read few Capcom names in MK9 tournaments (like for example Chris G and Justin Wong who in fact play A BUNCH of various fighting games and manage to get wins over respected MK9 pro players like 16 Bit).
Yeah it's going to be really hard for a top MK9 players name to be in the top 8 in Street Fighter. I wonder why that is? Can it possibly be because they don't actually enter the fucking tournament? GASP!

I do think that REO is amazing.
I'm registered on this site since September last year (I even registered before), because of Injustice, but I was watching MK9 streams way before and enjoyed the games, especially REO's, as well PL's and ... my favorite MK9 player Tom Brady, but let's be honest here... So I guess being one of if not the best, MK2, UMK3, MKT, MK4, MKA, MKDC, and MK9 players is an easy feat. Ooooh, none of those are Capcom games, so who cares right? REO only plays MK games so I guess he can never be as good as someone who only plays SF games. My mistake. REO even won every single MK tournament at NEC this past December (MK2, UMK3, MK9), but as I said, doesn't matter not Capcom.

You don't seem to know who FilipinoChamp is.

Of course I know who Ryan is, probably a lot better than you do. Just because you're known for talking shit doesn't make it somehow magically okay. I'm not taking it "too seriously", I'm reacting to what he said. I'm getting hype for Injustice while talking shit back. But apparently I'm not allowed because I'm not F.Champ.

Let's just face the cold hard facts here. You're a fanboy. That much is incredibly obvious. You're getting onto us for responding to someone calling our entire community trash like WE did something wrong. No sir, we did nothing wrong. We did not call out the Capcom community and call them all trash even if it was for the sake of "hype". We have made an effort to give the Capcom players spotlight on TYM, and even F.Champ has been on the Front Page multiple times. I completely do not mind the trash talk, I really don't. It's already making things incredibly more hype. But you can't get salty when we trash talk back, that's just ignant. It paints an obvious biased view especially when you're calling ME the one ignorant when you obviously don't know a god damn thing.

So as I said, put down your pom poms, and stfu.
