Combo List - Smoke Robo Smoke Combo Thread

Human Smoke or Riot
This is the Smoke combo thread. I will endeavour to keep this original post updated. As smoke is a new character, we can expect combos to be constantly changing; at least for the first two weeks.


Combo notation is the standard notion. You can find it listed below.

ATTACKS
1 – front punch (fp): square on PS4, X on Xbone
2 – back punch (bp): triangle on PS4, Y on Xbone
3 – front kick (fk): X on PS3, A on Xbone
4 – back kick (bk): Circle on PS4, B on Xbone

DIRECTIONS
u - UP
d - DOWN
b – BACK (away from opponent)
f - FORWARD (towards opponent)

JUMPS
j - jump
ji – jump in (Jump towards opponent)
nj - neutral jump (Jump directly up)
njp – neutral jump punch (neutral jump + 1/2)

OTHERS
~ - cancel
xx – cancel
(ex) – indicates EX version of a special
(MB) - indicates a MB version of a special/move
RUN – indicates a run (ff+block)
THRW - indicates a throw (L1 on PS4, Left Bumper on Xbone)
, - end of string/normal/special
> - end of string/normal/special
+ - indicates button pressed at same time
s - standing
c - crouching (i.e. d)

thanks man, just figured out that the string can be hit confirmed f4 d1 doesnt have any gaps, and it is safe on block so better get a good bnb after that.

F4 d1 scales harder than any move that smoke has. Do two reps in a row with it and u will see what I mean , first rep does 10 damage and u get like 16 for two reps if I remember right

doesnt matter man, although f4d12 can be followed by stuff like f4d1 trident etc I just do 3 in a row (requires similar timing to raidens f12b2 x3) and although its mediocre damage, were in the corner and now overhead works better and we can end string in 4 instead of 3 which gives same set up but more chip( i do both though) then after a blocked wakeup f4d12 njp 4 3 smokebomb 114 trident 4 continue mixups. It doesnt have the mk9 oh but having mid pop ups in this game is priceless. F4D1 can also be cancelled into smoke away/smoke bomb etc

hi guys. so whats the bnb combo off a f4d12? ive been trying to do b21 f4d1 spear but ive never got it to work. thanks!
You can get f412 b21 s4 spear but it's a bitch to get right, the combo I usually go for is f4d21 b21-smokebomb njp 4-spear j2 3 for 27% back into mix ups

Note: this doesn't work in or too close to the corner though so you should be aware of where you are first

Thanks to your post I realized the corner carry on that is really sweet, so i'll start using that string as a punish for corner carry. One that works for me that is consistent is f4d12 rc f4d1 xx smoke bomb, 4 xx trident, run until trident stun is over, f43 xx airgrab for 28%. Doing this anywhere midscreen will leave you pretty much in the corner. The plus frames on airgrab are really nice too and they can't tech roll after.

Corner only: F4d21,njp,d2,4,smoke bomb,4,spear,jip,21-30% vortex...no meter.

Yea, I'm doing the same thing. Make you hit 4 solely & cleanly before hitting down-back for smoke bomb.

At least that was my problem. I got that down now. Get 9/10 times.

F4d1 only does like 6 dmg , so does f13 , but f13 has a gap ? Is that way ur saying?
well its a 10 frame mid launcher although somewhat lacking in range it does have its uses. f4 d1 then confirm into 2 to combo if not, dont continue, just end with f4 d1, its -3 so you can play frame games after.

btw anyone here also having a prob hitting females with bnb combos?

MK1 is the best MK period.
I haven't seen any meterless combos in the corner that let you continue the vortex so here's mine: 28% starter x smoke bomb, njp, 4, 21, 114 x trident, step back, jip, 21. this probably isn't optimal so if any of you guys can hit 30 please post lol.

edit: an easier one for the same 28% damage: starter x smoke bomb, njp, ji4, 21, 114 x trident, step back jip, 21.
The gravity on this is alot more forgiving as you had to delay links after the njp on the first, on this one the links are tighter which makes it easier imo.
