If Liu Kang gets nerfed again over Bill's stupid videos, I'm not just done with NRS. I'm done with Paulo. I will never buy another game that he has a hand in.

I figure this is the best place to ask, but what is the best way to approach this mu as a cassie player? I play a guy whose got a really solid flame fist kang and im not sure how to handle him up close. He can armor through my strings with windmill punch for free since even if its baited, its safe on block due to cancelling it. Full screen is bad news since he can harass with low fireball iaf all day. i found there is a hole where i can flipkick between windmill to backfist cancel, but it seems you cant interrupt windmill to low fireball. He also will occassionally do enhanced windmill to enhanced windmill which is safe and breaks armor but i feel like thats a gimmick that i havent deciphered yet. Sorry for the format, my phone is being dumb. Any advice?

The WP is not safe on block necessarily, it is a guessing game. The best moves to counter it are generally armored launchers or low profile pokes (for the low FB and the db2 respectively) If he starts doing low FB then just block and punish. Also when he does WP's he is open to NJP if you character has a good one or, cross ups behind the WP.

f3 -> DFC is very nice low combo starter: it's quick and has good range, so it becomes safe (tested with Cyclone of Kung lao) on jump distance.
Here's example of combo which starts with f3 (btw you can start round with it, cuz you'll not have to move, just press f3 -> DFC -> ...) and ends with b2:

Now try on the left side once you can complete 5 consistently on the right side of the screen , but yeh 113 , 5x iafb is a lot lot harder than f44 bk 5iafbs, I can get 5 iafb consistent offline from bk MB but not 113 5xiafb

No quite like DF , but it doesn't matter since you can power up the fireballs.

Yeah, when the pressure kicks in, I wouldn't go for the 5th fireball either.But just imagine the hype you'd create if you did the 5th one

Is it just me or did liu kang get buffed i cannot beat his attacks in dragons fire his jabs and attacks are so fast i cant do shit and his corner combos are insane what is this

Here is some fun "bug" that happens if you meter burn BK on female characters:

It seems that female reversals think that Liu Kang will land on the other side with his meter burned overhead and do reversal to the other side, while Liu Kang remains on the same one.

Doesn't work on D'Vorah because she is too small and Liu Kang always lands in front of her and doesn't work on Tanya because she has a size of a man.

But on topic, how difficult is it to pick up Liu? I recently taught myself to fbrc with most of the cast and have been branching out a bit. I've dabbled in Dualist and FF so I know the kinda gist of LK play. I just never got good.

That's the thing I still haven't met a Liu kang main that uses Xbox pad and can get 4iafb consistently online , I don't know why. I don't like Liu kangs that use hitboxes, their cancels and iafbs get no love from me using one of them haha
