Anyone have trouble with starter f21-1-1-f2-1-2-124 db1? I can hit up to the last f2-1-2 just fine but when it's the time for the 124 my hands feel odd or cramped and I always screw up either the timing or the input, trieds liding my fingers over 124 still awkward any tips? I guess git good is the first one but seriously anything would help

Lol my brain goes to shit when I have to finish in 124 command throw in Wrestler. Something about that little wait freezes my hands, best thing I have found to do is spend as long as possible doing the combo over and over until it becomes more fluent.

I will try to land it once then post it to show what I mean I have been trying now for over an hour still no dice

It's a mid screen corner carry let's see starter like 123 RC 12-ddp-f21-1-1-f2-1-2-124 db1 ex and you keep juggling.
Oh ok. You mean f21-11-f21-124 db1. The way you wrote it out makes it look like f21-s1-s1-f2-s1-s2-124, hence the confusion, lol.

Anyways, I've got no hint for you here. I struggle converting 124 after f212 myself.

I know what you're talking about. After the hotfix, it feels harder to do the 124. I don't think its you
How low are you hitting the f212? the lower you hit that the more it juggles afterwards and given the patch made it easier you might be hitting the f212 higher making the 124 link considerably harder.

Ok after practicing with solely Jax for only the 124 link I can say to hit the combo just remember to press each button calmly because even if you try to put the 124 out as quick as you can just doing 1 2 4 with that little spacing will still allow it to come out I hit it consistently now just a matter of get good:(

Anyone use enhanced grabs in the corner to maximize only having one bar ? I mean if you can hit a 45% but only had one bar why not cut the combo short like after 11, f212 you grab to reset and go for a full 40% no meter after so it's like 32+40=72% ofc the reset would lead into a 50-50 but thats where conditioning the opponent comes in so you could ground pound or low starter or do a rocket cancel fakeout, overheads I mean that one grab leads to a lot of things after but I just don't know how to really set it into a combo.

I never use mb throws with jax. I play wrestler andwhen i get them to corner its pressuring time. Without the bar its nearly 40%damage when I land a hit,+40from low starter.1bar nearly 50%from low starter51%. With jax I prefer to do guaranteed dmg over mbthrow to 50/50 coz he can stuff many wakeups with 123 so wakeup options are limited to some characters against jax.
If I want standing reset,I go with pumped up.

Well with heavy weapons in having problems keeping constant pressure because once they know the match up I'm forced to capitalize on the corner and if they get out its what I call mid screen waltz till I can get them back there and trust me if they know the matchup jax becomes 3-4 times harder to do anything and to be honest I suck in at three things which is, oki, pressure and reads so that's why I I wanted to incorporate :/ grabs to capitalize off my corner damage what ever I may get it.Also what matchup should i choose pumped up over heavy?

It's all so very confusing.
Thinking of trying out the 'new' Jax. My understanding is his midscreen combos are much more consistent? Consistent enough to hit reliably online with practice? I was probably going to pick up Pumped Up, just to give Jax a test drive, unless you all think Wrestler or HW is a better introduction to Jax? The Pumped Up guide posted here is also a nod in its favor, a convenient guide is always helpful.

I was wondering though, what midscreen combo(s) should I be focusing on learning? There is a ton of info in the forums but its difficult to parse through it and know where to start. Any info for someone looking in to picking up Jax would be appreciated. I know he's not 'easy' to play and I dont mind lab work, I just like to have a gameplan so I can focus my time.

Thanks folks.

Not a Jax main, but I do play him quite often. He's one of my boys :D

I'd just learn the basic Jax midscreen BnB:
Starter~Ex OH Dash Punch, run~F21, 11, F21~Gotcha

Your starter can obviously be your mixups or punishes, whatever man :)

Not sure if that's still the BnB but I've always used that and it still serves me well to this day.

Much appreciated. My eyes are going cross-eyed from practicing what - to competent players - should be easy hit confirms and basic ass combos on Yang and I need a little break and a return to MKX. Man, I hate it, but just not feeling Kano like I was hoping I would. Still rocking my Cassie and her poverty ass combos. You all can keep the RC into 212, or whatever, I'll keep my easy shit.

Annnyway. Off to Jax off.
