True, but it wouldn't be too out there to suggest there are players that don't know that. It just makes it easier to get to. Although it might be saved to be replaced by something else since we don't usually have a random select button, who knows?
The random select button is superfluous, because it tells you right on the screen that you can press triangle to random select.
He has a tie that goes down from the one strap so from the front it looks longer. Probably can't see spikes because the angle his arm is athow is that baraka?!
The arm bands are more than a single rope and the forearms look more like they are ninja type bracers than barakas arms b/c there are no spikes sticking out from his arms like in the following picture:

That's not true, pressing triangle brings up options which most casuals probably don't use. You'd be surprised how many casuals don't know that you can random select by pressing triangle and selecting random select under options. The random select button is there to make it easier for people to pick a random character, but as I said it is a little weird that we suddenly have one when we haven't had one before.

I'm not a Rain fan in particular! I like his design this game but I've never been a Rain player. I just think when they have the assets it'd be foolish not to utilize them.

Well it's a business thing, there are more popular characters than Sindel, Rain, Baraka, etc. There are people that'd prefer guest characters or characters that haven't been in an MK game in a while like Fujin or Bo Rai Cho.
Well, if that square wasn't taken by the random select button then there wouldn't be an equal about of squares on the top and bottom row of characters. It could just be a design thing so that it looks better.
How is the best selling game of 2015 outperforming? And the year hasn't finished yet. Initial DLC's are way planned ahead before announcement, don't fool yourself. KP2 wasn't planned I suspect, that's why it'll take till next year to develop imo.
agree 100% it was kind of shitty, i know so many people on here alone that are waiting on last gen release. its a shame... hopfully they release some cool characters to play at events/local small tournaments/ practice and with friends... i gave up online... i recorded constant 7f lag with Capture card running through Avidmux... so my last hope is some decent additions to MKX. hopfully it makes this games playability skyrocket for years to come, seems like XBL MK online is dead

Outperforming is a good thing. It means it's doing better than expected. You are saying exactly what I said.
That's what I'm saying though, they're not "half-made". They will have to change the models like they would any other character, see what they did to Tanya, then they also have to capture an entire three variations of moves, get va clips....basically they still have to do everything they would do for any other character. It would honestly not be that much less effort than other characters considering the whole character creation process only takes about three weeks if what I remember hearing is right and a small part of that time actually goes towards model details.
I agree with this, but I still don't agree with the mentality that just because Boon said they weren't going to charge for DLC twice means that it won't happen. You say they would get bad press, but I seriously doubt anyone other than the hardcore fans would even remember that small comment he made. He is probably one of the top 3 most requested characters right now, he has a model, Boon's teased him a shit ton, I still believe it's pretty likely that he's going to be DLC. Definitely not free, probably in KP2 though.
