MKX AntiAirs: Which characters cannot Anti Air in Mkx

BillStickers

Do not touch me again.
Erron Black has trouble in the AA department in all 3 variations.
Standing 1 is very good, but only against certain characters at certain distances. EXStab, EXSlide, and EXSand are wholly unreliable. The moves will whiff or your armor will be popped. S1 is decent for crossups, but you're better off doing something else.

Also, I'm not sure what goal this thread is trying to achieve. If it's anything pompous, I'll be disappointed.
I'm saying that because it's common knowledge AAs in this game are very weak for a sizable amount of the cast.
Last I check Erron Black can throw out 21122 anytime he damned well pleases as an anti-air, footsie tool, mixup starter, pressure starter, etc.

Same here including lao when spaced right. Sonya tanya dvorah. Kj pretty free to me on jump in. In my experience I've lost about 70% of my aa attempts. And even when I get a punish that won't stop players from jumping in because the risk of 14% damage won't stop people from jumping.

Quan has some interesting AAs. B1, uppercut and 4 all work great but the spacing for all 3 is so different you have to really know the spacing. Just thought I'd pipe in lol

Trying to aa kung Lao from max range is hopeless

I can jump in on everyone with Sonya for pretty much freaking free. So long as I'm smart about it.

And hell, if I miss, for every 1 success, that makes up for 3 bad jumps. The risk reward in terms of damage is sooooooo skewed in MKX. It's like "lol, yeah, I lost a net of 9% in a trade with my j1. If I f* up my jump in 3 more times, I will have wasted lifebar!"

Erron Black has D2 for close jumps, S1 for crossups, and EX Slide. They're not great but they're a lot better than Jacqui's. D4 also somewhat works on a few jump-ins.

In Outlaw you can anti-air with EX Tarkatan Stab (have to do it early due to slow startup) and EX Sand Toss but you have to do it very late or it'll hit them in the air so you can't combo off of it. I don't think you can anti-air jump kicks with EX Sand Toss because there's a slight mid-air pause with them so you can't combo off of it.

Normalize grab immunity.
I think the situations isn't "no one can AA" but the risk/reward of AAs and the timing need in some cases is really skewed in favor of the jumper. With Raiden I've been able to D2 a jumping scorpion for 14% only to have him jump again and beat me for 25+. This game definitely has the hardest AAs I've ever played with. But that is only for some characters and sometimes it's only against some opponents.

So far with Cassie I have had success with stuffing jumpins with S1, S33, flipkick (ex or normal), d1, and d3, have converted off of each into a full combo. Crossovers are a little more difficult for me since I have only really encountered them online, but I feel that the s1 would do a decent job if I weren't fighting against netcode on top of a jumping bean. The only characters I've had an issue with are Sub Zero, and less frequently Sonya and Kotal. I'll usually burn a bar on an EX flipkick to stuff their j1s.

Wouldn't it be better to ask what characters can't AA on reaction? I mean theoretically all characters have moves that AA but don't function as a proper AA. Then there's moves that look like they should function as an AA but are sub par or don't function at all. Example: goros U2, looks like an AA but isn't reliable, or Sonya b1 it doesn't look like an AA but AA's at times. Then there's characters like predator whose d2 is so inconsistent as an AA it's almost encouraged not to use it or his disc tend to AA but you can't react and throw them out so they're not technically supposed to be used as such? Do you see where I'm going here?
