Main problem is that if you end with f412 ex spit they can just tech/roll wakeup and hit you out of it, really only reliable way to go into it is 14 ex spit due to the hard knockdown. Unless some other string can do it that I'm not aware of. It's honestly just not worth it IMO.

You know what depresses me despite the 34 and B1D4 buffs? Standing 3 is still a 12f high with mediocre range and B1 is still probably one of the shittiest normals in the game.

I don't think it would be broken tbh, still only 40% midscreen 1 bar with strict timing. 3 hitting mid would be more reasonable though for sure. I still think he's far from being perfect btw, but I don't have enough reptile knowledge to lobby for any specific buffs

@Xev doing an extra 21 in the regular 34 BnB does the same damage as the 141 variant.

Yea but F412 already has many uses. Making it an all-purpose tool might get it nerfed to the ground like Scorpion's 214

I don't want to be a Debbie downer but why would you ever go for a plus 2 frame trap and risk getting armored/ back dashed/ crossed up/ counter poked/ etc when you could just go for the 50/50 although be it low damage?

Really the only time you can setup these frame traps are off a jump in? Why risk it and not just get straight to the 50/50

I posted this in the other thread, but does anyone do 14(OS EX Klaw)1 as pressure? If they block you're plus 2 and if not you get a full combo.

Timing is weird but I think I got it now.

I dont really understand the question... Reptile previously had no frame traps, even on his +2 strings his best poke would still get beat out by 6frame d1s. So now you have the mind game because your d3 is now 5 frames after 1, 21 or 12. Now they have to respect it and you can mix it up with the overhead. If they try to counter poke you / jump out, you win and now have a 50/50 again. They won't be able to get armor out in 5 frames, they might be able to backdash.

Its another tool, doing a 50/50 off jump ins every time isn't something I like to do especially when hes gained the ability to condition opponents. I mean take into consideration the Lui Kang MU, Reptile couldn't get out of the fake fbc pressure, now he can. Shit all the strings Rep has that are -2 like 14, 34, Lui Kang can't do anything but block because now a d3 follow up turns into 9 frames so at BEST LK can hope to trade with a counter poke.


My main training partner is Scorpion so his d1 beat everything Reptile had now he has to respect it.

After the slow ball take a step backward and uppercut it will keep them in the corner just like his nimble combo, then 21- f412 slide.

Build more meter, catch them pressing buttons to lead into 50/50, now they respect it which opens up grab /50/50, jump over. It opens up mind games. Jumping in 50/50 on block leads to barely any meter build, either pushes you far back or leaves you at the mercy of your opponent. His biggest strength was his f21 footsie game, now hes got something in your face as well I can't wait to use it tonight in casuals.

Doesn't even have to be EX, I haven't tried it yet (been at work) but looking at it, looks like a 3-5 frame window.
