Yea it was region locked at premiere but:

- You could easily switch region in Steam options (like 3 clicks, you still can)

- You still could play whoever you wanted from the friendlist even if he was 2 continents away


After some time they just removed region lock completly coz apparently on PC Steam you can't do console region lock, people still can play whoever they want (read above).

There should be some kind of Electronic (F)Arts award for making gamers lives difficult or stressful. Wanna E(F)A award NRS? Although maybe, just MAYBE, it will not end up in disaster this time. i got passed examples of other fighting games not being online region locked, what do you have as "facts" please show me the source where it saids "Dall shall region lock NRS games because facts"

Guilty Gear has no region lock on PS4 and PS3 but NRS games are like the only ones still having this.

As I have stated in 10000 other posts... the fact that PS4 is locked and XBox isn't proves it is not a netcode issue BECAUSE THEY WILL HAVE THE SAME NETCODE

They are saying that region locking makes no sense, especially when no other fighters are doing it. Making them feel that NRS is not confident enough in the netcode.

Why can't NRS let us choose our search parameters? If I want region locked then I'll enable it. If not, I'll take the chance of poor quality. Stop forcing me!!

I know that, but from reading the other thread that what most of the complaints seemed to be about. Region locking won't really affect me, but for the EU players it really sucks, especially since their online scene is so sporadic. This will actually kill it for them in a couple of months.

I agree. I'm just trying to kill the "its the netcode" arguement because both PSN and XBox have dedicated servers and will have the same netcode.

I'm not bashing the merit of people's gripe with region locking... I just want them to talk about logical reasons as to why it is locked...
