Expressing Disappointment

"Mere child's play."
what you posted is sort of like if i went to srk and complained that blanka was too op and the game sucks because ryu just spams hadokens and srks and beats me

the netcode has its moments, sometimes i get a good game with a good connection in minutes, sometimes half an hour, sometimes never. it varies really but of course it could always use some improving.

star labs is pretty annoying for such a dumb reward, yeah, much like the challenge tower in MK9. i still haven't gotten past like, the 5th mission

yeah, i don't own any iOS devices either so i feel your pain brotha. i would've liked if the app was playable on android as well at least, but it's just a skin so meh i don't care really.

no offense but you just suck at the game if you're still losing to AI lol. they're easy to beat, just make them do dumb shit. clashing can either make or break your second bar, so make it break theirs. :p

there are a lot of things a lot of people will say about balance, but like NRS recently let everyone know they're paying close attention to player input (specifically TYM i'm assuming) for further balancing, so giving more detailed input would be a lot better than just calling characters broken/OP. also, grabs can be broken on reaction so GL shouldn't be getting you as upset as he sounds like he is.

yeah... about the gameplay, it's something you have to get used to. injustice has its own style of play, that's all up to you and whether you're interested enough in the game whether you learn to adapt to it.

Whining? So, this forum is for "Injustice is the greatest fighting game ever made, we should praise it and we should all have a Injustice: Gods Among us tattoo on our forehead yes". Whatever. I thought forums were for all people, I say something which might be contradictory and I get frowned upon. Okay then, maybe I should turn in the game.
lol, you would actually be surprised how many people (top players included) hate this game on these forums. it's probably the fact that you're more on the casual side why people here will frown down upon you for speaking your mind, but what's new interwebs etc. it's just some of the issues you have with the game (like complaints about grundy/sinestro when they're not even great), and some TYM people in general are awks.

I am someone who prefers MK, Tag2, and KOF to IGAU. There are legitimate issues with the game. You made complaints about zoning, and cited some examples that you should really use this games training mode to see how you can counter. Not really sure what a character like Green Lantern would do in a fighting game w/ no projectiles.
You did not like star labs thats fine, what did you think of the Story mode then? Also the Injustice comics are insanely good
Story Mode was interesting, I liked all the parallel universe stuff they had going on, ahhhh poor Billy.....he didn't deserve that. Story mode was good indeed, it gave you a variety of characters to use as well.

It's simple.. We normalize the superman.

The ONLY thing that will make the game better for you, is getting better at it yourself. You are in fact whining about stuff that people learned to overcome ages ago. This is a forum full of gameplay and character specific information, yet you bypass all of that and give us an ignorant review. Why would you expect anyone to respect that?

To be fair, the first half of your review are legit gripes. Everything from "offline mode" down is your own ineptitude ruining the game for you.

- Balance. Just terrible. Superman is way too overpowered, Grundy is way too overpowered.....Green Lantern is the best zoning character, Aquaman will do down 2, down 2, down 2.. Meanwhile, I have to stragle to play with The Flash, Joker, Luthor etc. Great job on that one. I see the same 4-5 characters all the time, I use Ares, Flash, Joker, Luthor and I get destroyed many times because Superman will cancel in a frozen breath from the two random hits he got in, leading to a 35+ damage combo and then full screen lasers. Isn't that fun???
Yes to everything, no to this.
Grundy is mid to low tier. Green Lantern is not the best zoning character, if all you see is down 2 down is it means you're just jumping like a moron all the time. The flash is top 5 in the game, joker has some dirty oki setups that I'm 100% sure you're not using, Luthor is hard to use but if you actually know what you're doing it's not that bad (see UnsilentAlarm/Rev0lver gameplay).
It seems you have a hard time adapting to supman, yes it's ridiculous, but you're bitching about the combo and not the real issue here.

Injustice is an Ez Mode game, really aimed at casuals players (doesn't require a lot of brain, you can win doing gimmicky shit (dat hawkgirl mace charge cossner tech), interactables, 30% life back clash system, etc etc), not nearly as polishes as MK9 was. But it is what we have until the next game comes out. Sry.

Also if it's laggy, it's probably because you're on youtube watching videos.

Look everybody, a guy who actually took time and replied like a normal human being, well done sir, faith in humanity restored! (no sarcasm intended)
I read your reply and I agree in pretty much everything.

The fighting game that started the trend of "Actual Fighting Games", Street Fighter II, had characters that throw things across the screen at you. And one of the original bosses, who became a playable character later on (Sagat) was infamous for doing mainly that. So I'd have to say, that argument doesn't make any sense.

Different strokes for different folks -- but there isn't 1 way to make a fighting game.

Too much zoning spam and intractables reminds me more of an arena game than a fighting game.

Thank you for the honest reply, I appreciate it. You are right about everything you said, about Grundy I mean that of off one hit he can get that 35% damage going by entering the chain grabs, it's ridiculously easy mode.....

I do that. I search videos for combos, how to get around spammers and how to avoid super armor and all that. However it's so, so extremely frustrating when someone does the same move for the whole match.....
Take it as a practise and an opportinity to learn how deal with it, don't see it as the cheap move that stopped you from getting +1 win, it will not help you and only get you frustrated more. Block, dash, block dash and PATIENCE.

Yeah but it's very hard to get in with him, and you can bait pretty much everything he does. Never in a match, Grundy has control over what's happening.

Unless you're Tyrant, but that's 1 guy.

Just think of it this way.. There are lots of things in life that are personal choices. Neither good nor bad, just a personal preference.

There are lots of games I choose not to play (including a number of fighting games) because the style of the game doesn't appeal to me. Doesn't mean they are horrible games, it just means they're not my individual cup of tea.

But the difference is, I'm willing to identify that as a personal preference, and I just don't play them; rather than playing the game and bashing it or going to tell all the people who like it that it sucks.

I kinda feel the same way about zoning with projectiles in Injustice. Mainly because zoning is pretty strong, but you have to back to block it. Maybe you need a more rushdown oriented game, more aggressive (MK9 :D)

I appreciate your input.

Go on then, you must have another smart comment to say about someone who you met for the first time 30 secs ago.
McNasty's comments weren't sarcastic. The reality is that fighting games are geared toward competitive and not casual gamers. The majority of your gameplay concerns about IGAU can be addressed simply by investing time into the game in order to counter the things you've mentioned.

This is a great community and many players would be open to helping you if you had a better attitude. If your looking to build a name for yourself with TYM or the IGAU community this isn't exactly the best foot to start off on.

I hate a lot about this game too and agree that it's imbalanced. But... There's no point in making a thread to say that.

There's nothing that's going to be done about it.. What are you looking for? What did you expect people to say?

Okay, a lot of people seem to mistake me for a casual gamer/fighting game player.

I am not. I am not the best, but I am definately not casual. I am Lv60, I have played 1044 online matches and won 630 of them. I have over 100 wins with Ares, over 50 wins with Grundy and Flash and I am working with Joker right now. I know how to Clash, to Push Block, to Punish, to do Cross Ups, to do combos etc.

You people are mentioning the projectiles thing way more than you should, only 2-3 of you actually adressed my other concerns and saw that I was right. Projectiles and zoning characters are not the only thing I mentioned......

I'm just telling you these things to help you understand/grow -- but to be 100% honest, anyone who uses what you said as justification of not being a casual player, is a Casual Player :p

There's nothing wrong with it, but understanding the difference in perspective is also important to understanding a lot of elements of certain games.

I understand both of these statements, and I was not expecting problems to get fixed by coming here. As I stated at the bottom of my original post, this is simply me venting about a videogame. Not the most mature thing to do, but I just felt like mentioning some things that are still very prevalent, months after the game has released.

Just curious but how did you expect a DC game without fireballs/projectiles to work?

Was deathstroke going to just run upto people and hit them with bullets on a string?

Most of the DC characters have and use projectiles of some sort.
