From the most common starter it would probably be:

F23~Trait, F2~MB Breath, B3, j3, 22~scoop, 3~BF+3 / AGHV

I don't actually own a system, so I can't check the numbers for you. Sorry man!
You won a tourny and don't own a system? Where can I get your skills? BTW once I started using your combos and strategies I saw you use at TTT, I must have won 4/5 or 9/10 for 3 hours last night.

I appreciate the show of respect guys, and I'm glad I could be of help. I've just put alot of time into the game since release, and into trying to figure Superman out to the best of my ability (just like everyone else!). A Ps3 / 360 would be a massive distraction from real life priorities, so I just play at the numerous local gaming venues in Toronto or @ friend's houses. I was also privileged enough to be apart of arcade culture years ago (3rd Strike, MvC2), so competing without owning a system is second nature.

In other news, Tony T where's that video with the optimized corner damage? I can't waaaaaait

Can someone test this with a real person?

Flying Punch, dash forward, J3.

In training mode it looks like it is crossing up but I cant be sure. Doesnt work in combos, will hit in front if AI has roll enabled. Could be interesting when landing a Flying Punch by itself.

EDIT: Confirmed to cross up. Not an amazing find but a decent option off a stand-alone Flying Punch.

You know you can test it yourself right? Just set the AI as Supes, record him doing the setup, play it back and then you try to counter it.

Well I can tell you ahead of time it probably won't work. To start, Flying Punch can be tech rolled, but even if the J3 crosses up on the AI, a human will probably be able to walk back in time (ie block) and just turn it into a normal jump in. Not to mention will probably be beat by wake ups.

Instant air dashes! Yes plz. Although Im sure with enough skill you can instant air dash without the use of this trick.. If you hit down before trying to instant air dash it will come out incredibly low. How low? SO LOW! Thats a level of low where you have no control over whether SuperMan will cross up on the left or right. Works after Low Scoop. You can use any Jump Attack although J1 is the easiest to land consistently.

Works against people who like to roll on wake up.

Dashing forward when they jump. If they do it when you're waking up then a wake up Rising grab done right to grab them as they cross over.

f23,breath[8-9frame gap]f23

Testing with Shazam and the turbo button on my controller. Shazams 9f 2 will trade, the 8f 1 hits. Some characters like Batman can back dash it just barely allowing them to full combo punish with whatever they want.

Hat tier ftw
Been playing supes for most of last week now and a lot in the lab with him. A normal jump cross-up seem to be very inconsistent at best without an air dash. Normal cross up whiffs alot. Have no problem with any other character accept supe.

Because supermans Cross up needs to be at a certain range and angle while the others can pretty much just Jump from anywhere and as long as it goes over their head it'll cross up.

Ya, I figured that. I quit trying to cross up without an air dash but he has so many other good tools it doesnt bother me.

Yeah, thats one of Supes definite weaknesses. He has no ambiguous crossup game. If he jumps over you with an air attack, it will whiff unless in the corner. Crossup Ground Smash couldve solved this, but oh well.

is there any consistant way of practicing 3 trait 3 and 3 low scoop? The issue im having is canceling trait into 3 and if im doing one of the combos with 3 low scoop i cant seem to time the low scoop. Low scoop comes out to early and if i wait a moment after 3 it doesn't want to come out :/ Any tips?

Generally you want the character to be as high as possible before you hit 3, Trait, 3. Then it's a case of inputting each quickly, so it should be 3~4~3

As for 3 xx Scoop it's the opposite, hit f+2,d+1 early then wait till the character is as low as possible before inputting 3 xx df+1

The corner combos in the OP are trickier than they appear

Usually if the opponent is blocking 223, I switch it up to 22~low scoop. After the low scoop, what can I do as far as comboing with meter/no metering? I usually only deal around 20-25%. I'm terrible at coming up with my own combos.

Corner you can just do the 111swoop combo with the starter just obviously being 22swoop.
Mid screen I just do 22swoop, 3 breath to throw them closer to the corner, you can obviously do more to make the combo stronger, but this is simple and sends them full screen while allowing you to dash twice to close the distance.

I've been using the breath one to get closer to the corner or the rising grab~heat vision to swap places. I just figured if anybody knew more damage, it'd be in this thread. Thank you sir! It's appreciated

For those of you guys that cant pull off 3, trait, 3

right after you click 3, trait...quickly tap 3 repeatedly until the move comes out. It's slow enough that you can hit confirm into MB Breath.

I know this sounds sorta noob, but it's how I got it to come out at first and now i've done it so many times that I have the timing memorized and dont need to slap the 3 button 40 times for it to work. It's been so effective that I can do it online with ease.
