YES. You can't help but to feel sympathy for the Kryptonian :(. I'm a huge Batman fan myself so I can't not play him, but I'm definitely rooting for Superman to get some vengeance.

I'm interested to see how Joker manages to escape from the ensuing onslaught that outta be coming his way next issue. Is his boyfriend going to bail him out again?

Yes, within the Injustice game itself he stops Clark from killing Joker.

Edit:
Also, can I say how bullshit Batman's "don't use the lasso on Joker's" logic was? It's a fucking magic item forged by Gods, I don't care how crazy you are it should still work.

me tinks joker dont make it far through the story, read the ign article about the first chapter of the game. i think the story gonna be partly in the current timeline and some in the events directly after the comics

Source? Cause shacknews says:

The story of Injustice will be told achronologically, jumping between the future and the past. In the game's intro cinematic, you'll see a distraught Joker at the mercy of Superman. The clown revels in his success, killing not only Lois Lane, but Superman's unborn son. Batman attempts to calm the superhero, but it fails--Superman kills the Joker by punching through his chest.

I should've said tries to stop as I don't know the story beyond he's going in for the kill and Batman attempts to stop him.

You now need to buy a Superman mask. It's still awesome to see you hyped now, I remember you were really skeptical on Injustice.
it was hard not to be skeptical bro with all the mediocre gameplay, repetitive interviews, and same char gameplay being shown for quite sometime, i needed more, and neatherrealm is really starting to deliver and i see marketing getting rdy to go full sail, i see only greater things coming.

Do both dude. On the one hand it's understandable that supes lost it. Joker knew what buttons to push. On the other hand, living under Fidel Castro with heat vision isn't that great an alternative....imma play the shit outta both. ;-)

The thing is someone like Joker, and a bunch of other villains to be fair, maim, torture and kill with little to no consequence as the DCU operates under the mindset of "it's OK because he's crazy" and he just gets sent back to Arkham in the hopes of being "cured". But LBSH, Joker should be on Death Row.

lol yea true, but gotham needs ppl like the joker, batman has pull with the justice system so he keeps joker around, because he always gives him a exciting roller coaster ride of craziness to go on...batman loves the thrill.

Sure, it's plot convenience and the story must go on and all that. At the same time when something like this happens where millions of innocent lives are lost along with a hero losing his wife and unborn child then just saying "he's crazy, let's just lock him up, don't kill him" doesn't cut it. Depending on how far Clark ends up going I can understand a switch to Batman's side but how anyone (players and characters in the story) can't side with Superman in the beginning is beyond me.

don't tell me that I'm all alone thinking that Batman and Superman are assholes who let villains kill people because they don't have balls to finish them once and for all.

the only problem is that Superman became a dictator.

Honestly it's not up to them because at the point where they've beaten the villain if they kill them it's simply murder. Once they're locked up the city/state/nation should decide what to do and it's always "to the loony bin".

I think he's been doing it for so long he doesn't know how else to be. Besides, outright murder would be against his moral code, however, it's a thin one. Batman has been and always will be more ruthless then superman. If you've read the hush series, you'll see batman manipulates superman in such a way as to achieve his goal. He's also willing to sacrifice much more (others and himself) to win (I forget which story arc but he ends up making darkseid concede and letting superman and supergirl go bc superman couldn't compromise his morals.....I digress tho.

I think in the beginning, everyone might be on supes side, maybe bats is the first to realize the distopian nature of superman's rule...he does in fact say in the comics and the trailer that he's living a nightmare

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
You...don't want to know my position on this war. Lets just say Mark Waid and his comic Irredeemable and me are friends and that while I love heroes any story I'd write for a hero would be a fairly unflattering one.

...

Yeah I'd kill all the bad guys and admit that NO ONE is really a hero when they have to shoulder all the responsibilities for taking care of the world for everyone. There is no shining hero capable of putting up with all the pressures of the world holding them responsible for every bad thing that manages to happen. Resentment would settle in and people would die or be terrified of everything.

No I doubt even her lasso of truth would of worked on him

Agreed. If the Joker believes what he says is the truth then the Lasso can't get anything useful. Joker's mind is so bent he can rewrite what he things is true accidently. He's not well and is why he's so hard to deal with...the guy doesn't produce MO to trace most times because his personal tells and habits keep resetting. Even the events he knows keep getting rewritten in his own head. Its sort of a thing in Batman's psych files on the guy.

so they should have taken judjement in their hands. I just don't think that killing a murderer is a murder :) that's why I liked main character in Law Abiding Citizen and was all like "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!" when he died in the end.

Red Hood is a hero I like if I'm right at thinking that he simply kills bad guys.
