your top 5 mk2 players

who are your top 5 mk2 players you ever played? i been playing online since march and i finally played realtalk and sushi in the past couple months and playing them got me thinking about making this thread... i think it would be interesting to hear everyone's top 5 picks and why they are there top 5? i'm gonna give you mine now but first let me say that this is just my opinion and that i'm not saying this is fact.. my number 5 or 4 could be number 1, or somebody i didn't mention could be number 1... also let me say that there a some great players i never played that i heard great things about like dvdcsn and players like xiongbros that i have played but have not played enough to put them in my top 5 ... this is just my personal experiences with playing mk2.... i had to think long and hard about who are my top 5 but hear goes........

5. kensidj - this guy along with everyone else in my top five easily could be number 1 but i had to pick some type of order, when i play players like him and get my ass handed to me it just makes me want to play them more and learn from them and pick up on what there doing.. easier said then done... kensidj scorpion and kung lao are the best i ever played, but he can use any mk2 character to destroy you...his combos are as good as it gets and if you make 1 mistake it's curtains!!!

4.fusion117- this guy sub and rep is simply phenomenal!!! i think him and aria have the best invisible reps out there...his defense way too good and he can aahp as good as anyone...he is 1 of the few players that get the best of me playing sub vs sub...but like everyone else in top 5 can play with anyone...

3. sushi -david gem told me i have to play him cause he plays the game exactly how the game should be played, and boy wad he right... the first like eight matches i played him i think we split 4-4... and i was thinking "he ain't that good" then i guess he just figured me out because we played like 40 more matches and i think i won like 3 or 4 of them lol... then i understood all the hype lol... you have to play perfect to beat him, if you don't then forget about it...

2. wario7414- i haven't played him too much recently(atleast not under this account anyway) but i played him the most out of anyone in my top 5... we use to play all the time and man he showed how much better i could get playing this game.. he showed me combos i never seen before, his mileena is so good it is ridiculous, if you make 1 tiny mistake playing
his mileena it's over..i think him playing as mileena might be the hardest character to beat for me that i ever played... i miss playing him because i love how he dominates with his offense

1. realtalk718- this guy is just retardedly good.. his defense is as good as it gets and so is his aahp, add perfected combos to that and you have somebody you do not want to run into in the mk2 lobby unless you are ready to get your ASS KICKED OR YOU ARE READY TO LEARN... some matches against him not only did i lose but i had trouble getting in a hit or 2 and thats why i put him in the number 1 spot!!!!!!!!

sidenote: Wario's Mileena, dvd's jax and scorpangel's lui: collectively out like 100 matches I probably won 8.
I'm listing my 5 favorite of all time:


5: dvdcsn- He's one of the most capable players ever, his Jax alone is untouchable. One of the great things about dvd is that his defense is offensive: he uses a lot of the basic moves that keep u at a distance. It's impossible to uppercut and/or throw him because he simply won't allow it. He truly mastered the game and he's one of the easiest players to learn from.

4: rain300- that's right. I'm not even sure if he plays anymore. He wasn't even that good but he played with an originality that rivals some of the very best. He was very unconventional and honestly I took some things from him. When he played he just didn't give a shit and every time I played him he did things I had never seen before and have yet to see again (ex: consistently using the acid spit as anti-air on purpose). At one point even wario mentioned him on this site.

3: sushi07- is an insane player that plays in a fashion that makes the game an art form. Everything that you want to do with a character, he does it and he does it correctly and fast. He's one of the few people that makes me wonder how I ever win against him.

2: fusion117- speaking of insane, fusion goes beyond doing things right and making people pay. Just about every single thing you do against him can result in a four hit combo. He plays at an offsetting pace and he's rarely denied of doing what he wants to do. What's weird is that he isn't flashy but he's bound to make you say "WHOA," or "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

1: real-talk718- is my all time fave. He was one of the very first people I played and was one of the reasons I continued playing. I started playing in september 2008, I didn't win one single game against him until March this year. He's a seasoned vet and someone who demands your A+ game. He also features one of the most original styles known in the Mk2 community.

2) Kensi (my hardest player to beat, especially after 30 games)
3) Va380 (my hardest player to beat)

Great, if I list my top 5 I'll probably have some guys on my list waiting to kick my ass at mk again.

But I'll list who I think are the top 5 most underrated players (or players not mentioned enough). No offense to any of the usual top players (you definitely deserve the mention, and you already know I have respect for your skills), but someone's gotta give propz to these other top players. These are names I have battled on PS3 (barely been on kaillera) at least 100 times.

1) va380 - top of the MK foodchain in his prime. Very hard to beat. Has a very solid defense. I have not played him in ages but the memory of those beatings continue to live on.

2) seriouz bizniz - Definitely most improved player of the year. He's still learning but he has made some very large strides. AAHP, high hit combos and infinites. A ton of fun to play.

3) lee-k - A bunch of you can't stand the guy, but I've enjoyed the matches we had while he was active. There's a small class of elite MK players I've played with pinpoint accuracy (wazz, realtalk, etc...) and this guy was always pulling off crazy shit you would hardly ever see in an online match. Very stylish and unique.

4) rdz21 - He's a good example of what top level play should be like of the current mk2 generation. The guy is purely offense. I was on the edge of my seat the last 50 matches we played.

5) dciguy - The guy is tough and has good closeup defense. I don't hear his name brought up much, but he's definitely an aggressive underrated player.

that first line is funny and true but i don't think people should get offended... there are about 10 other players atleast that could have made my top five or atleast my top 7... i think the players no who they are that i think are great because i always so respect to to them when they whoop my ass....good idea with the underated thing cause that was my next idea

*Sidenote on ScheissNussen, he's one player that actually has raw skill on several mk's.

Also has the ability to run over you from time to time, no matter what your plan is.

In terms of underrated players....

1. rdz21 - Some may argue that he is one of the best, but I don't hear his name mentioned very often when people are discussing the greats. He is like a fox and knows how to counter and/or nail you after a whiff. You might get an early streak on him, but he can adjust quickly and return fire with ease.

2. kingpdoubler - When I first started playing him, it wasn't a contest. His improvement over the past couple months has been amazing. I get quality matches out of him all the time now and it's always a lot of fun. Play him if you ever get a chance.

3. btbb99 - Another very underrated player. Good all around player who has gotten a lot better in recent months. Not a specialist of any character, but he makes you work for your paycheck; that's for sure.

4. gamemk - Played him for the first time a couple weeks ago and was very impressed. Like btbb, solid all around player who makes you work for every bit of damage. Always pay attention against him or you'll be licking your wounds.

5. Drewicide - Good defense, good with Kang, good with patience. Don't hear many people talking about him. Maybe they should start.

Most underrated for me (although that's not the thread).

Foozer1- A lot of people know him for picking lui and the ninjas but honestly he's just as good as anyone with any character. At his best he resembles dvdcsn.

Rdz21- I consistently call this guy a maniac for a reason, every time we play it takes about 30 games before I truly realize what's going on. He definitely mastered the kicks. You have to be very unpredictable and careful to beat him.

Drewicide- he's kind of similar to me but I think he will be the next kaz.

Louise17- he's crazy solid, it's too bad he doesn't get into the community much. I'm sure he hangs very well with some of the best. Every time we play i get streaked between 4-6 at some point.

iammud- speaking of names never really being mentioned, mud is as good as they come, he's quite polished and brings an under-appreciated knowledge to each fight.

nice thread...there are always players that are "the beyond"...meaning i play them and basically try to stop them from streaking me (wario, yung, dvdcsn, va380 aka mister_voodoo, xiongbros, real_talk, etc). and then there are players that are just as intense but i tend to go back and forth with them:

I posted earlier the 5 best I fought but I can't leave out rdz21 he kills me evrytime, dciguy01 I haven't fought him in awhile but he killed me like maybe 30 straight the first time we fought. David-GEM killed me like 40 times straight the first time we fought.Blamethejiggas is allot better then he used to be too. k75boi he was a beast when I first started I'll handle him now though. nordholt was a beast too we fought allot. projectile point is a beast. fresh 1985 is ok. btbb99 is real good I heard he was the best sub zero so i try to mirror match him allot without getting too frustrated, but it's hard. mikecaldwell is another guy I fight allot he's good. ar29 is good. gingermagic is pretty good. I fight all theese people regularly and they all are good fights too me.
