The Mars Volta and At the Drive In are very high on my list of favorite artists. Excellent mention :)

Wow, very impressive. I've been playing guitar and bass for about 13 years now. I've played on and off with bands but I primarily play classical and improvisational jazz. :)

Always love meeting fellow musicians. Thanks for sharing.

Same here man. After hearing that album I ended up buying my first Les Paul and have been playing casually ever since. His style is what sets him apart from other guitarists in my opinion.

AHHH yes Dream Theater! John Petrucci is another brilliant guitarist. Good mention.

I haven't heard anyone mention Powerslave yet... That album is incredible.
