Question Xray scales after unlinked d4, what is happening?

So I'm in practice mode and noticed that if you d4 then xray it doesn't link, combo is still 3 hits and computer can block it, but for some reason the % damage drops. A naked unfrozen xray from Sub-Zero does 33% but if you d4 (3,1 also work) then cancel that into xray the xray will drop to 32%. Not a huge difference and it isn't something you'd do in match because it doesn't actually combo but anyone know why the damage drops 1%?

Damage is scaled a tiny bit on the next hit if an opponent is in recovery when hit again. At least that is what I noticed from looking at it for a minute.

You get a little scaling on moves that give frame advantage on hit.

So moves that reset like Kabals F4, Sonyas 112, Cage nutpunch etc the next hit that isnt blocked will be reduced damage.

It is the same with throws. If you have advantage and throw your oponent(usualy after combo which can give you huge advantage) you get 11%, not 12%.

yes, b1,2,1 then throw nets 11% because of the stagger state.
