Skarlet scientist
Hey guys, i just though it would be fun, if we could take a few steps back and make a little survey to figure it out, which chars were our main and how many times you have mained that char from Mk1 to MKX, before you list all the games, you also have to say 5 of your most favorite characters.
In the end, if the results aren't as your initial statements, you might found some interesting results.
Favorites: Scorpion, Ermac, Kung Lao, Skarlet, Nightwolf
Mk1: Sub-Zero
Mk2: Kung Lao, Scorpion, Sub-Zero
MK3: Nightwolf, Kung Lao
UMK3: Ermac, Classic Sub-Zero, Nightwolf, Kitana, Kung Lao, Cyber Smoke
Trilogy (PSX): MK2 Kung, Kabal, Scorpion, Ermac, Nightwolf, MK3 Kung, H.Smoke, Rain
MK4: Scorpion
Shaolin Monks: Kung Lao, Scorpion, Liu Kang
MK DA: Scorpion, Frost, Kenshi, Bo Rai Cho, Sonya, Kung Lao
MK D: Scorpion, Liu Kang, Mileena, Havik
MKA: Scorpion, Sareena
MK9: Skarlet, Kung Lao, Kitana, Kabal
MKX: Scorpion, Kung Lao
Some interesting thoughs:
As you can see although Scorpion is among my favorite characters, i didn't started to play MK with Scorpion, Sub-Zero was my first MK character, but further on as the MK world evolved eventually dropped him:
Another character who i played a lot and dropped him was Ermac, ever after MK Trilogy that i'm not able to connect with ermac abilities at all or the way he presents himself in the game, so it made me drop the character.
In MK9 i tried every single character, was expecting to use nightwolf and ermac as well, but just didn't connect with them at all, my first true connection with MK9 was Kitana, which was the first character who i could explore some good damage potential, then i moved to Kung Lao and later on Kabal.
Only later i stuck with Skarlet due her gameplay, she was a female with actual ninja swords, Kunais and ninja based attacks so for the first time in the MK history i was excited to play a female character who actually fights like a kunoichi and set herself apart from Kitana who is a princess, jade and every other female who came down to nearly the same fighting style historically.
The only reason i've ever picked Human smoke was because he was what Scorpion could have been in Trilogy.
Saved the best for last, it seems that every MK i play somehow i end up playing Kung Lao, either i like him or not, he ends up being among one of the characters i pick the most lol.
