You could also use her 9 frame standing 4, forward 3 combo or sub the forward 3 out for shadow kick or staff grab though I haven't tinkered much with this, it's a possibility.

I've found that there's a little knack in the timing, you've got to do d1 a bit later than it looks. It seems to catch them if you do it just as they are hitting the floor but not much before that. There's no reason not do to this on wake up though, even if you plan on just blocking.Now this is a pretty interesting thread. The only critisism i have is that you'll have to make a read. Also isn't this why we have ex glow? I understand that the regular glow will be free of meter you only get 18%; with ex glow and a 3/b1 combo starter you'll get 34-35%. Is that damage worth the meter? I would only use this if i was completely out of meter. The only time i've actually taken advantage of this is against raiden's superman.
