Yeah, I personally think all ex special moves having 2 hits of armor except for ex kano ball (including choke which is safe..and up ball) makes him a walking tank. Grand master lost the armored clone. So that's good lol. Slide is the only armor kano has to worry about which is fine (112, B13 blow up all else). Cybernetic still plays this match up the best with the mid knives(ex knives) and d2/air laser/B1 for jump ins.Yep, his armor's top tier now with the current meta's status, b1 is also easily one of the better mids now.

Day one Kano and I picked up Kenshi for Grandmaster Subzero lmao. It just makes sense, especially now after those patch notes for Kenshi. Possessed received major love, it's crazy. Kenshi looks like he'll counter Subzero pretty well with proper play.My main is Kenshi (who got buffed) so this really is a nonissue for me, I just feel sorry for all the Commando/CT specialists now.
With ex DB1, it still requires one bar right? I think Cutthroat will always play mkx the best. But the B121 string nerf is hard. Being able to not cancel it into knives or charge would have been so much better. But they killed it lol. It depends on play styles. Commando is looking really good on paper.Just from the patch notes, I think Cutthroat will still be the strongers variation and Commando close second. Cutthroat still has the same footsie tools he had before and same damage potential on all hits, you just have to be more stingy with the overhead. Commando was always good but was left in Cutthroat's shadow. The universal stamina changes will help Cyber against characters that cannot trade fireballs against him, but I still feel he has a lot of the same problems he had before.

That loss of armor on ex charge doesn't change his original meta too much in that variation but I knew it would be removed after the tweaks lol. I can't quickly count the amount of characters that would have suffered from this.. in this patch, it's probably too much. But Commando on the other hand... ehem.. has similar tactics.I'm cool with it not being plus, just the loss of armor makes me sad. But overall I like the changes.
Seems like a lot fun. Kano is still inBesides the general gameplay fixes I think this patch is ok for kano. Nothing we didn't expect but nothing to go foaming at the mouth over either. Seems kind of ok with me.

- Kano (Cutthroat) - Fixed a bug which could cause Kano to lose the round if he had Power Up or Charge Up activate while Jason (Unstoppable) resurrected
- Kano (Cutthroat) - Away+FP can no longer be cancelled when blocked and is now -15 on block (down from -10)
- Kano (Cutthroat) - Charge Up no longer has armor
- Kano (Cutthroat) - Power Up & Charge Up now have 10 more recovery frames when done while the opponent is blocking
- Kano (Cutthroat) - Away+FP,BP,FP is now -10 on block (down from 0)
- Kano (Cybernetic) - Eye Blast no longer has armor and is now +4 on block (up from -11) and has 10 less recovery frames
- Kano (Commando) - Strangle, Power Bomb, & Rib Breaker now have 2 hits of armor
That is gone. If you wanna be that reckless with the offense though, try Commando, it might work for you better. However, Cutthroat is still very strong. F21, DB1 is there, and standing 2 into DB1 is there along with B31, DB1. With the general footsie tools, and the damage for punishing.. DB1 still being safe and acting as an anti air.. B1 on block ends the whole string and leaves Cutthroat at a disadvantage. The full string only comes out on hit now (that particular move can't cancel into specials on block either). This changes his last patch play style (run in, pause, read, run in D4, run in bait, run in B12 ex charge on block+safe 50/50 continued). This slows the pace down a lot now and Cutthroat has to be played more patiently. Kind of like how it was when the game originally came out. Ex Kano ball losing armor is a problem though, gonna take some getting used to.They only change B1, not removing cancellability of B12 right?
Yes, this is exactly what needs to happen to cyber. 6% knives and revert B1 to the original frames. Characters having 9 frame d1s was always the problem, not Kanos B1..Cutthroat gets toned down hopefully.
Cybernetic gets more damaging knives and B1 being way less negative, plus the game being less offensive will make Cybernetic a very good variation imo.
