what if i cant log in into quakenet #mku at 7pm est since my 360 and PC are in two different room and I do not have a long enough Ethernet cable to reach. Is AIM ok to communicate with whom I am going to be facing?

And also i saw somewhere that someone is putting money up; is this for the cash prize for the tourney or something completely different?

If you really cant make it to the irc, yes, aim is fine. You just have to get the results to me or Schiess so we can update the brackets. My AIM is ShaneyMcGrady and Scheiss's AIM is: ZaQdaWhiteDEVIL

Well first of all, I don't really understand where the problem is, because you will need a computer to use AIM too, lol?

But anyway, log into the irc chat regardless, you will need it to hear bracket updates. Word of mouth in the chat will be quicker than hitting refresh on the brackets constantly or waiting for an IM that may never come.

You can communicate with the person that you should be playing through AIM though, I actually encourage that, but you should be in IRC regardless.

AIM eats far more resources (bandwidth) than IRC.

Oh, and it isn't a money tournament. If you enjoy the game and want to play in a tournament, then we are your people. We don't give money for winning tournaments, we aren't GameStop, we make nothing from these tournaments other than fun.

Feel free to gamble on the tournament all you want though, but we aren't responsible for your actions, nor loses.
