Question on PS3 mics and pads.

Can anyone recommend me a good PS3 mic? I don't plan on playing mutiplayer FPS's for a while so whether they're great on the ears isn't a concern. What I do want is for the players who have to listen to me have the best quality available. I don't really want to repeat myself and PS3 mics are notorious for being crappy.

Now about the pads. Is there any difference between a PS1 pad and a PS2 pad? I only have a PS1 pad and I'm thinking of picking up a converter if it can work just as well as a PS2 pad.

I have a cheap-ass Samsung Mic that I paid like $30 for, a Jabra Stone that I paid $120, and a Turtle Beach wired headset that I paid $100 for.

- The Jabra Stone has the best sound quality, but Battery Life is like 2 hours. It's also VERY comfortable, but it only fits the Right ear.
- The TurtleBeach is my favourite. I use it almost all the time, but it is wired. Sound quality is GREAT and there's no worry of batteries, but it's bulky so after a while, you start to notice it.
- The Samsung WEP300 I bought after the "Official PS3 Mic" because I hated that little fucker and I use it all the time. It's got somewhere around a 6 hr battery life and the sound quality isn;t like the turtle beach of Jabra Stone, but it's pretty good.

I've heard Blue Ants are really good if you're looking in the $120 price range as well.

I randomly got a Blue Ant for my birthday, but i havent used it yet.

But about any bluetooth is said to be compatible with the PS3.

IMO, the Dual Shock 3's suck. Get this: http://testyourmight.com/forum/showthread.php?10008-PS2-to-PS3-Converter-**InPin** and whatever PS1/2 pads you want. Also, if you play offline a lot or have a friend with an Xbox 360 etc etc get one of these as well: http://testyourmight.com/forum/showthread.php?6418-PS2-to-360-Converter-by-eTokki

That way no matter where you go, you'll be good to go. Plus, you order them from the same site, so you dont have to pay shipping twice :)
